Documents relating to the Duke of York’s business trips won’t be released by the Foreign Office until 2065, it has been revealed.

The decision, which relates to Prince Andrew’s “numerous” business trips between 2001 and 2011, means the files won’t be available for scrutiny during his lifetime.

The date was released as part of a response to a Freedom of Information request by royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who described the decision as “absurd”.

Prince Andrew, 63, was the UK’s special representative for trade and industry for ten years from 2001.

Mr Lownie told the Telegraph: “It is extraordinary that files relating to Prince Andrew, the subject of my next biography, will be closed until 2065.

“Many questions remain about his role as trade envoy, a public appointment paid for by the taxpayer, and his associations with figures such as Jeffrey Epstein.”

Carolyn Andriano, a victim of sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein whose testimony was crucial to putting away his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, has died.

There was no obituary or funeral service after she died earlier this year, and police in West Palm Beach, Florida, opened an investigation into her death. After The Daily Beast reached out for comment, police spokesman Mike Jachles told us that the investigation was concluding and that Carolyn died of an accidental overdose.

The 36-year-old mother-of-five had planned to start a new chapter in North Carolina, at a new house with a fireplace and half-acre lot with a chicken coop. Carolyn and her husband, John Pitts, had purchased the property just weeks before she was found unresponsive in a West Palm Beach hotel room on May 23.

Before her death, “she was ecstatic,” Carolyn’s mother, Dorothy Groenert, told The Daily Beast. “She was all set up for a whole new lifestyle.”

Groenert says Carolyn’s death came as a shock because she was working on building a new life and texted her recently about being free of drugs and alcohol.

The way Groenert sees it, some things about her daughter’s overdose don’t make sense, and she wants cops to investigate further.

Jachles, however, said that Carolyn’s case would officially be closed this week. Officers on the scene took a statement from Pitts, who told them that Carolyn had been using drugs, and Carolyn’s brother, who rushed to the hotel after Pitts texted Groenert that Carolyn had died. Pitts tried to administer CPR and “was given directions over the phone with 911,” Jachles said.

“It shouldn’t be closed,” Groenert said of the police investigation. “I begged them, I sent them numerous messages. I’ve asked for them to make meetings, contact me, and to no avail.”

A fascinating story broke yesterday, headlined in CNBC as “High-end brothels serviced elected officials, tech and pharma execs, military brass: Feds.” I’ll skip the picture.

We don’t yet know much. But what we’ve learned so far is that a multi-year DOJ investigation out of the Massachusetts US Attorney’s office made three key arrests in a prostitution sting this week.

The handful of disclosed facts already suggest staggering implications.

First, the three arrested men all appear to be Chinese nationals: ‘James’ Lee, 68, Han “Hana” Lee, 41, and Junmyung Lee, 30. Court papers show prosecutors believe they used other aliases and are flight risks. The men operated a sophisticated, multi-state, high-end prostitution service targeting elected officials, military leaders, and business executives. Sound familiar yet? According to the filed papers, targeted customers also included “lawyers, scientists and accountants.”

The idiots who fell for the scheme were serviced out of luxury apartments, which would have been trivially easy to wire for video and audio. Customers were required to be “vetted,” in a detailed “verification” process that would have completely implicated them in the scheme and made them fully susceptible to blackmail.

If they were, in fact, Chinese spies, they were brilliant. Or, Americans are so stupid the Chinese look smart by comparison. They used our own money to set up the scheme. For example, James Lee’s various business accounts showed deposits of a half million in federal Covid-19 relief funds. The affidavit stated the Covid-19 relief funds were “possibly fraudulently obtained.”

According to the investigating agent’s affidavit, there are “potentially hundreds” of “yet to be identified customers.” The affidavit did not name any of the already-identified customers, but noted their names were excluded “not for purposes of maintaining their anonymity, but instead because our investigation into their involvement in prostitution is active and ongoing.”

We don’t yet know who any of the compromised elected officials, military leaders, or business executives were. But we can guess. The scheme focused on two very telling geographic areas: Virginia — just outside Washington D.C. — and Massachusetts, near major financial centers including New York City.

It’s early and I don’t want to get ahead of the story. But the only way we can start to get a handle on this problem is, in my view, by publicizing everyone involved.

There’s a lot that could be speculated about this developing story. James Lee looks like he could be the Chinese Jeffrey Epstein. I was instantly reminded of Whitney Webb’s prescient book, “One Nation Under Blackmail.”

It's another brand of selective judgment, utilizing the institutions of enforcement as criminal enterprise proxies. The client lists and captured videos will remain as hush hush as Epstein's, and be deployed for domestic rather than Chinese blackmail.

A federal judge has approved JPMorgan Chase’s settlement of a class action lawsuit in which the nation’s largest bank will pay $290 million to the victims of disgraced financier and convicted sexual abuser Jeffrey Epstein.

JPMorgan, which was sued for ignoring warning signs about Epstein’s sex-trafficking operation while he was a client, will pay nearly 200 of Epstein’s victims, according to a legal filing obtained by the New York Times.
