Rita B. Loncharich, a 65-year-old woman, died after being fatally stabbed inside a Barnes & Noble bookstore located at 11380 Legacy Avenue in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on December 22, 2025, around 7:53 p.m. She was rushed to a local hospital by Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue following the attack but succumbed to her injuries. Witnesses reported that the suspect, later identified as 40-year-old Antonio R. Moore, stabbed Loncharich inside the store and fled on foot. Moore was apprehended shortly after the incident and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail at approximately 5:30 a.m. on December 23, 2025, on a charge of first-degree murder. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the stabbing.
