From the shock jock who stood up for free speech, law and order, and great looking babes. From Breast Feed The World to Saving Latin Asses.

Really great story about how Stern used to be the Loudmouthed Hero of the New York Working Man-Commuter, railing against stuck up assholes, bad roads, and Dinkins style Liberal Criminal Coddling. Used. Before he married a hot model and got a slot on America's Got Talent.

By the 2010s, he dumps long time pals Trump, Gottfried, and Dee Snider. His third biography, mostly centered around his more tame era of the past decade, makes the outrageous claim that the guy who ran for Libertarian Governor of NY in 1994, who mocked Dinkins daily and lauded Koch and Guiliani, “As my listeners know, I don’t like talking about my political beliefs on the air.”

He's even gone so far as to sanitize his old classic Broadcasts.

He disowns his former “hard-ass pose,” which he diagnoses as having “provided an almost impenetrable shell that protected me from feeling need.” He even asks readers to do him a favor and throw out their copies of his first two books. In promotional interviews for Howard Stern Comes Again—the incredible number of which seemed to belie his claim that he’d found humility—he repeated this spiel. He once squeezed laughs out of his narcissism; his narcissism now takes the form of tiresome bragging about having purportedly surmounted it.

In any event, this latest round of interviews made for a sad spectacle. A great entertainer was disowning the best part of his oeuvre; a former rebel leader was bowing to the king to win favor at court; a master at skewering high-level hypocrisy had gone over to the other side. “You’ve gone from filth merchant to talk of the town,” Jimmy Kimmel told him in October. Stern’s opening commentaries on the interviews in his new book seem designed to make old fans wince: he considers Madonna “a kindred spirit,” calls Stephen Colbert “very evolved and emotionally connected,” praises Rosie O’Donnell for her “wisdom and graciousness,” applauds Lena Dunham for her “wisdom” and “understanding,” and touts Gwyneth Paltrow’s “humanity.” When Amy Schumer recalls the time her boyfriend touched her without explicit permission and hesitates to call it rape, Stern insists that it was, and concludes by saying, “I want to apologize for all men.” He even manages to work in a sympathetic word for Christine Blasey Ford. And the references to his own “personal growth” keep on coming. After a while, he sounds like someone who’s joined a cult.

We can remember him at his peak, at least.

Raunch may be lowbrow but, it sells.

I get the point. I just think it's sad. If I do a scale of 1-10 on friends you immediately lose 3-4 points if you tell me you like Howard Stern.

I'll hang out with you still. Just know I have no respect for you if you thought Stern was funny and must listen/watch content. I also find the guys that like Stern are the rapey type. Not sure if it was an influence or not, but they tend to be scumbags.

Someone above mentioned Rogan. Rogan blows away Stern by a long short. He's a family man. Yes he swears. Yes he'll talk about women. But he's not putting on some variety show of grossness. And I've mentioned I'm not religious at all, but have my own moral compass. Stern is a pile of trash and I hope covid kills him or the vaccine he took. Robin is a weak female to put up with his shit for decades as well. I'm not a feminist, but I hate weak females.

Again, not a dig on you, but who the hell knows her worth? No one. Maybe it's leaked from the people that cut the check, but this isn't sports with a salary cap. And who knows how she spent her money.

Also, powerful women isn't about money either. You're in the RE game. You know them when you see them. Robin was an early DEI hire that made his antics okay. Black and female. She was/is a pawn for him to make a billion. She got workplace cucked.

Celebrity fortunes tend to be exaggerated to the max for effect, like the fake coined billionaires. They can be unzipped rather quickly, it seems, so most of it is lifestyle promotion while they hold the public's attention.

I still remember Ed McMahon being promoted by Johnny Carson as being some kind of ultra wealthy guy. He went bankrupt in his old age and lost his shirt before dying, and one wonders how such things happen. One thing, he had a lavishly spendthrift wife.

I'm only mentioning it just to show that he and her were popular enough to make it big and for that kind of dough, tons of women would gladly do what she did. All she did mostly was laugh at his antics.

was even shocked back then when I saw Carver on TV while in school, as I thought it was an act at first and not real , like when Howard Stern gave Carver an award and the first thing Carver said was "The Joos control the N*ggers"

Howard Stern was the Joe Rogan of shock. His show had worldwide potential. Back in the day, I used to think that Howard Stern was a legend. No one had characters like Daniel Carver or Beetle Juice. He would have outrageous contests (like mom-daughter stripping contest). He would ask female interviewers about what was going on there (meaning vagina)!. Now he has turned into a bitch.

Lord of the Anal Rings was a crowd favorite
