Good point, the actual deaths of high profile people would be a kind of proof that this really is serious. Hard to fake that.

It always surprised me that there was no deaths of high profile people on 9/11....in manhattan no less.

I checked the CDC website on 12/2 and there were 240,213 total deaths since the pandemic outbreak. The same page now says 249,570. So a couple thousand people are dying with covid every day.

The data also shows that most of the people who died were old. The largest number of deaths were those over 85 at 77,959. Then those 75 - 84 with 67,305. Then 65-85 with 53,579. So almost 80% of the deaths were people over 65, and even these were people with comorbidities.

It is stupid to lock down a country over a cold virus.

So over half of deaths attributed to covid-19 were past their life expectancy. You may argue that not killing grandma is a worthy goal but the survival rate of people 70 and over that have contracted covid is 99.4%.The updated age-specific survival rates from the CDC: 0-19 years old, 99.997 percent; 20-49 years old, 99.98 percent; 50-69 years, 99.5 percent. The CDC doesn't mention comorbidities.

The flu kills just as many in a normal year, but nothing is normal about this year.

I've heard the Hanks pedo accusation before, but never any backstory as to why, other than him being a Hollywood elite.

When it comes to many of the pedos you find out about, most of the time you're not really surprised. Something always seemed "off" about their demeanor. I don't really get that vibe from Hanks.
