PANIC!

Wait, 3 percent of 1 percent?

Yes, 100 times smaller than 3 percent.

Say 100,000 die out of 300M people (actually, the population is even larger than that). That's 0.0003.

So, since 0.0086 of the US dies every year on average, this could bump up the US death rate by 3 / 86 = 3.5% this year.

Except not it wouldn't even be that much, because a large fraction of those who die weren't going to make it through a normal 2020 anyway.

It's still not at all clear that this was worth imploding the economy for. Remember that 81,000 died of the flu in 2018 and no one even blinked.

BTW Not sure I'd accept "heard it at a party" as proof either.

Lol, I also said he doesn't have to accept it. Just said it's true, which it is. It's not a debatable point. Yet he continued to attempt at debating it, shifting the conversation to Trump, which had nothing to do with the topic..... death rate. Myself and others have provided evidence that it's likely being over counted. The response was, you're wrong. That's it.

Sometimes people need to understand that they're wrong even if they cannot see physical proof. I have legitimate reasons NOT to provide my evidence. Just provide evidence that deaths are NOT being over counted and prove me wrong. Find a pancreatic cancer patient that died with COVID-19 and see what it's labeled as. Good luck to anyone that wants to try. Watch the video in comment 476....

Damn Patrick, for a man who hates censorship. Echo chamber it is I guess.

Who got censored? The guy admitted to multiple different accounts. He'll be back. I was having fun with it, but at the end of the day it's Patrick's site. If he's not deliberately trying to derail conversation over and over, why have different accounts? I haven't changed username, etc. since day one or started alt accounts. Why would one ever do that? It's actually the one beef I have with a lot of users I like here.

There's not one person on this site that I 100% agree with, so not sure about echo chamber. I think I've disagreed with every active user here at some point or another. The difference is I don't shift to off topic stuff and avoid the fact I might be wrong. Or get buried in semantics that don't matter, like Star Wars having comedic moments even though it's Sci-fi. That's what happened here and has happened in the past with this person. The straw man thing is nauseating. Mentioning a straw man is a fucking straw man. It makes no sense and is intentional misdirection from the topic at hand. "Ugh, you don't know how to argue you idiot." lol. It's a joke. I toyed with it this time because I knew who it was.
