for claiming to be richer than he really is.

Trump did not claim to be richer, he just used market value instead of tx assessed value. Now anyone who claims their real property is worth more than the tax assessment can be hauled into court.

I think the law should be changed that the owner can't sell the house for more than the tax assessed value.

My God, that opens up so much room for abuse. Maybe a better idea is to base taxes on the last actual sales price of a house. For rental properties, base the taxes on the actual collected rent.

Maybe it's time to switch to spray paint?
