A woke DA could charge the shop owner with "artificial imprisonment."

That's what I was thinking. And it's "false imprisonment" I think.

Police say Aguirre and his date had parked their vehicles near the downtown restaurant when Nix approached them, saying it would cost $20 each to park their cars, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Aguirre paid the $40 but was later told by a restaurant employee that Nix didn?t work for the parking lot and had scammed them, police said.

An employee at a nearby smoke shop later told police he saw Aguirre run back to his car, grab a pistol and go after Nix. The employee said both men went out of his view but he heard a gunshot before 8 p.m., then saw Aguirre ?nonchalantly walking back to his car with the gun in his hand? before putting the gun back in his car. Aguirre then walked back to the restaurant and went inside with his date, according to the affidavit.

This Texas man left his date to allegedly kill a man who scammed him on parking, then came back like nothing happened

Aguirre and his date each parked their car in a lot when a man came up and asked them for $20 each to park there. Aguirre paid the man $40, paying for the lady's car like a gentleman, and then they both went into the restaurant.

While they were eating, they found out from the restaurant staff that the man who took their money wasn't a parking attendant and that they had been scammed.

According to police, Aguirre got up, left his date at the table, and went and got his gun out of his car and tracked down and shot the man who stole his money.

After he came back to the table, he assured his date everything was okay, but then he decided he wanted to leave the restaurant and eat somewhere else.

She had no idea what happened until she saw her own photo on a Crime Stoppers show the next day. She then called the police and gave the information they needed to nab Aguirre.

Rather harsh, but not entirely unjustified to shoot the scammer, imho.

An Albuquerque store owner is claiming self-defense after he shot and killed a would-be burglar who allegedly dug a tunnel through the wall of his business over the weekend.

The owner, who was not identified, told KOB 4 News that he was sleeping in his smoke shop in the International District Saturday when he was awoken at about 3 a.m. by a scratching sound in the wall.

One hour later, a man wielding a large hammer and what looked like an ax burst through the wall.

The shop owner claims he grabbed his gun and told the man to get out, only for the intruder to come toward him. The businessman said he then opened fire and called the police.

The trespasser was dead by the time first responders arrived, authorities said. Police are now investigating the incident as a justifiable homicide.

A cattle prod or electric fence can zap you through clothing. Even so, that "Bait Phone Experiment" was theater.

Imagine getting arrested for shocking that guy instead of the phone thief getting arrested for stealing.

You would, it is illegal to set traps, especially one that could cause harm to a sick person or pacemaker wearer. That is why the show is an act. In real life, a shock phone would just be removed from his pocket an dropped to the ground, no funny dance that somehow stayed in constant camera frame. Could have been several takes before they got something editable.

They were filming an every day occurrence, hardly even noticed, until the victim pulled a gun.

Justice could have been served with the pull of a trigger. Fucking animals.

I have found phones at tables before and picked them up. First thing I do is IM that last few phone numbers that were called or came in, to notify them they've lost whoever they were talking to that I found a lost phone. Then I wait. If I get no response, I'll bring it home, and do some more messaging. Also try email if they have it.

If the phone is locked, well, they're screwed and just turn it into the management of the place. Found a few phones. One was a robbery of a house, another was actually lost.

An 8-year-old girl was playing in her yard in Northern Michigan when a 17-year-old creeper grabbed her up, covered her mouth, and tried to drag her into the woods.

The girl's toxically masculine 13-year-old brother saw what was happening from his bedroom window ... and cut loose with his slingshot! The kid is apparently a great shot because he smoked the bad guy in the head and chest before the creeper gave up on his abduction attempt and ran away. ...

The suspect was found at a nearby gas station and was easily identifiable from the wounds on his head. 😂

The suspect was arraigned Thursday on one count of attempted kidnapping/child enticement, one count of attempted assault to do great bodily harm less than murder, and one count of assault and battery.

Can you imagine how proud you'd be if you were this 13-year-old sniper's parents? Job SERIOUSLY well done, young man.

Next up: Get this boy a BB gun!
534   HeadSet   2023 May 16, 8:14am

I seriously doubt the slingshot was one like the homemade toy that appears in the article (apparently a stock photo). More likely a hunter slingshot, like sold at Bass Pro, that have a solid grip, surgical tubing, and launch steel balls.

This London TikToker posted a video of him and his friends walking into random homes and I'd like to see him try that in America

Anyone doing that in the US should be shot.

Hell, they should be shot in London too, but the English are too pussified to resist.

I lived in England in the 90s, and I will tell you one best not do anything to a home invader. You will be arrested if you lay a hand on the crook. A British judge actually said on one of his rulings "Burglars need to be protected from violent homeowners." At Thedford, where I was living, a burglar knifed and killed a salvage yard owner who was trying to chase that burglar out of his yard. It was ruled a "justifiable homicide" because the burglar felt threatened.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Honestly @Patrick, as a fellow Irishman, considering the rape and murder of Ireland for 500 years conducted by the english, it is their comeuppance. The chickens have come home to roost.
544   Patrick   2023 May 21, 5:46pm

@stereotomy I'd call it even if they'd just give back Northern Ireland.

Sadly, it looks like the Republic is badly infected with wokeness as well though. The IRA is gay now.
