What if you have people simply fill out registration. And it becomes pending approval. I’m afraid otherwise registrations would disappear.

I keep the 'just_' in front of any name change I made specifically because my original was 'just_passing_through'.

Not a big deal, but just makes posting and communicating easier as a user that doesn't use ignore unless it's a bot. Even the worst users here will have a cogent thought from time to time.

So I've made invitation by email request only. If any of you regulars mail me the email address of a friend who wants to join and copy that person, then good, they're in (unless I know for a fact that have been previously booted for being an asshole).
Also, anyone can just mail me personally if they don't know another user on the forum and want to join, but I'll be a lot more skeptical of that if I don't know them at all.
