wow, for any bitcoin-hater here, there is one hedge fund or Nasdaq listed company that invests 100's of millions of dollars in Bitcoin. The extremely bullish news just doesn't end.

Good luck betting against Bitcoin :) :) :)

Well everybody hopes you do well with your investment. I wouldn't touch it anymore than I would buy a tulip bulb. But I wish you well. Hopefully it will go to $300,000 and above.

Thanks richwicks! I hope so too....but I would also be more than happy with Bitcoin 100k :)

This seems like institutional FOMO. More and more big shots who previously criticized Bitcoin are now jumping ship.

-haters here are going to hate that the URL doesnt have "coin" it. Its poison for them to see mainstream media report on Bitcoin
-haters here are going to hate that the acting comptroller of the currency says “nobody’s going to ban bitcoin.”

muahahaha

I think the COC will need to make it look as if they care with some sort of regulations but regardless the institutions and banks are jumping in with both feet. There is going to be a major screaming supply/demand issue in the very near future, 800/900 coins are minted daily and PayPal and Square clients have been buying the majority of the new bitcoin supply entering the market each day 40%, then you have VISA and all the hedge funds that are going to be building their stacks to the sky....

I don't think it'll ever have real Government adoption, there's no way to fractionally reserve lend it.

Personal ownership and scarcity may drive it higher. But if it gets too popular, Gov will outlaw it.

Agree, especially since it is used for criminal enterprises such as to evade paying taxes and for money laundering.

Let alone, even if it is legal, they will go after it if it is a noticeable threat to the current fiat currency the US dollar.

336   Cash   2020 Dec 5, 11:34am

Including newly mined coins est for 2021 328,000+/- Bitcoin alone would need almost 19 trillion $ market cap. for it to have a $1,000,000 per/coin price tag.
I know all about the suggested institutional FOMO and it definitely will have some effect however nothing like many may be counting on keep in mind their buys will be OTC directly with the miners or as close to as possible. The kings of Cash want virgin unadulterated coins not the dirty open market coins for the most part. The caution comes in reality for the selling aspect which the institutions will manipulate the price up so they can sell into it but will rarely buy off the exchanges when they can go direct and not worry about their buying running price up on themselves if they have large amounts to move because no 1 will see it or know about it.
337   Cash   2020 Dec 5, 11:40am

What do you think this is? https://www.occ.gov/topics/charters-and-licensing/interpretations-and-actions/2020/int1170.pdf "Real Government Adoption"
With a little critical thinking and study you will find it won't be as easy to "outlaw" as you have the "opinion".... I'm not 1 who thinks BTC will take over
the world however knowledge does lean way towards the idea of adoption in some form.

USD is already way threatened many many countries are forming their own CBDC and just wait until we are in a true quoted neg. interest environment.

Once a moron, always a moron. You still don't understand what 6 figures means. You're not even trolling is the funny part. You also assume I hate BTC. But keep making your childish list of things you "think" are wrong even though you know they're right. Insecurity is not a very good trait.

Yep, Bitcoin has very good traits compared to FIAT and Gold. Thats why smart money buys Bitcoin. Even onvacation ( a guy who collect silver coins) bought some!

China wants to weaponize its currency. A digital version could help

"China wants to break the US dollar's stranglehold on the global financial system and gain greater
control over how people spend their money. It's hoping a digital currency could deliver both."

The fed is doing the same https://www.congress.gov/116/bills/s3571/BILLS-116s3571is.xml

BTW Visa's international digital money patent is set to destroys fiat as it is used and issued.
The digital money will correspond to a fiat serial# and the corresponding fiat will be trashed...

Selective quoting now? Amateur hour in the troll realm. F- for trolling. lol. Do better.

When people post graphs (repeatedly) they cannot explain, it's kind of funny and kind of sad. Cash is at least attempting to educate and not be butt hurt about differing opinions.

It seems like a no brainer to buy digital gold over physical gold.

physical gold has physical constraints
heavy and hard to divide in small pieces
very hard/time consuming to ship overseas
Cant use it for online shopping
gold inflates (yearly, 2% more gold is being mined)

I dont have anything against gold. It simply sucks. compared to Bitcoin (gold 2.0 / digital gold) its like comparing a brand new Iphone (Bitcoin) to a landline (physical gold).

Classic. Glad I quoted this. Common sense is to compare something you like BTC, with something you believe sucks gold. lol. Contradiction much?

We'll see how fast you bounce to a new username again on an anonymous forum that literally has 2-3 users that even care about crypto. Posting the same graph over and over is doing nothing. Multiple users have called out the massive flaws with BTC, not just me. You resort to childish responses and don't address those flaws and post the same graph. If that makes you sleep well at night I guess you do you. Sure has the looks of someone that is very insecure and desperate.

357   WookieMan   2020 Dec 9, 10:27am

We can all selectively pick purchase dates even though we didn't purchase at that price or obtain it at that price. Gold has blasted BTC the last 3 years. This is indisputable. That's 3 years of dead money that could have earned dividends, something. It did nothing for 3 years. I know you don't want a discussion, but I like making you look like an ass.
358   Bitcoin   2020 Dec 9, 10:51am
