You're missing three key requirements: No non-citizens get counted, citizens only get counted once, each ballot can only be voted by the citizen for which the ballots was intended. Mail-in-ballots greatly exacerbate those problems.

No I'm talking about every registered voter get's a mailer questionnaire asking them if they voted and how did they vote. .
Those ballots that were mass mailed to dead voters, and people that no longer live there. Passed 5 hands to get to the ballot box. There's no way all of those stolen ballots will reply. Also all of the registered voters, that will say they voted but wasn't counted.
Let's go to fucking war, the Dumbocrats, think they are the only ones that litigate the process to frustrate the effort of the other party?

Of course it would be impossible to match up all the voters exactly with the replies, many wont respond and some will respond that didn't vote .
But it's no less of an intentional mess designed to create a legal constitutional crisis just like blindly mass mailing ballots.
Democrats think they are the only ones fucked up, and will do anything to win.

Your faith in the system is strong. Our top virologist said for months that masks weren't needed for an airborne virus. We now wear them and cases are surging everywhere. Plastic shields on everything. This is why I'm a right leaning Libertarian type. Being in government I have zero faith in the actors performing the tasks. Elected or not. Government is not capable in the vast majority of tasks.
What I witnessed yesterday at my polling place was a disgrace even though my state/vote wouldn't have mattered anyway for my "side.". I'll deal with a Biden win, as POTUS has little influence over me, though I wish it was Trump for kids and adults 17-25. They get to fight a senseless war after one of the longest stretches of non-new conflicts in modern times. Yes some continued of course.
Not seeing one familiar face though at my same polling place 2 times a year for 7 years for the first time is a little concerning. Two of them I know for sure are religious about being there. I won't throw a temper tantrum, but everyone needs to see the flaws that occurred here. Even if Trump does win somehow through SCOTUS. We need in person voting with ID. This is indisputable if we're to ever trust results again.

Every registered voter that was sent a mail in ballot, gets a mailer.
Even those that didn't return their mail in ballot.
I would imagine the hundreds of thousands that will never be returned because they were forgeries anyway, that broke the chain of custody about 5 times.
