In an update from projections announced in September, Disney announced Wednesday that it will lay off 32,000 employees in the first half of 2021, culled primarily from the company’s theme parks division. Disney has also confirmed that approximately 37,000 employees were furloughed as of Oct. 3.

Originally, the company projected in September that it would cut 28,000 jobs in its theme parks division.

I hope for 100% layoffs at Disney.

Just keep the old movies, before they were corrupted.

Disney is one of the biggest liability to CA under 1978 Prop 13, I doubt if it is paying even 0.01% property taxes.

Haha, they've been corrupt throughout our lifetime @Patrick.

Pinnochio was filled with pedophile references and that was released in 1940. It's miserable to see reality but the further I look back, the more corruption I see. I'd like to see we are ultimately improving as a society, but it's just a wish. I do hope we can improve this world for the next generation nonetheless.

My meager hope is that corruption is being exposed, but the tipping point is will our society accept or reject it? I firmly believed they would reject it 20 years ago, but today I'm hardly certain of it at all. I'm very disappointed in the human species. I thought we were better than this, but I'm afraid very few of us are.

Well, we would never accept an NFL Referee who took a bribe! As far as political corruption, we absolutely must have term limits. Long term politicians, like Schiff, absolutely think that lying is part of the job and are immediately forgiven when caught and just move to the next lie. Schiff has no time for "Boy Scouts" who naively expect integrity. The long term politicals also believe they ARE the country, and that opposing them personally is treasonous. And since they are so important, they have a right to profit from office. After all, they are more important that an entrepreneur, so they should be able to make millions as well. This is the actual mentality of people like Pelosi, which is why it was so important for her to impeach Trump for not just being an outsider, but for threatening the graft rights by by looking into Biden's blatant corruption. My meager hope is this latest vote fraud is the last straw and our society will start rejecting the corruption.

People rather enjoy nature like a national park or visit a historic site. I see that in the Florida panhandle as people rather visit the beach, fish, take a dolphin tour boat, etc.

Its a lot cheaper as they can rent a condo near the beach for $140 a day for a family of 6. And the excursions like a 4-hour dolphin tour only cost about $45 an adult, and they usually set the kids fare at a deep discount of for free.

That instead of spending $150 a day on a Disney vacation. Let alone they get a lot of the Disney exposure through stream services on their +65 inch TV.
