When you look for job, most people get job based on market qualification , pay is based on it. Would farmer want to sell their crops at market rate? Govt can help if it is a bad year but generally market prices would prevail.

The unfortunate part is that pure capitalism doesn’t work for farms. It must be government sponsored.Even in US food security requires government help.

If you leave farming to capitalists then we will have shortages and price hikes.
The farmers have MSP(Minimum Support Price) from government for their produce for main crops and government is trying to take that away.This will really kill farm economy which is already weak.

70% of Indian employment is still in farms. Probably another 10-15% in allied industries.

So here's the official start date of recorded history. 4000 BC (give or take) along the Nile River/Egypt and simultaneously, the mouth of the Tigris/Euphrates rivers, Sumer. Yes, I believe that other ppl lived during the time but these were to first two recorded nation-states, not tribal gatherings by a river basin.

Archaeologists have dated sites all around the globe, prior to 4000 BC, but weren't able to verify that they belonged to a nation-state vs a tribal gathering or trading spot.

So I'll place the start date to some 7000 BC with a lot of murkiness between then and 4000 BC.

And then, for a so-called Atlantis to have existed, it needed to be way before 7000 BC, with enough time to wash out the evidence of its existence via a flood, a volcanic eruption, meteorite, or nuclear holocaust (assuming that its tech was nearer to modern times).

Some researchers believe that the Sphinx in Egypt which showed signs of water damage vs sand erosion may have been built when water was in the region, some 10000 BC.

So there you have it, a drop off in all kinds of analysis once the time goes back that far in the prehistoric era.
