Living in the midwest we loved snow days. Our kids will grow up loving covid YEARS. We're at least back to full time now, so that's good. Doesn't change what has happened. Nobody needs a mask, but children especially. Shit, a 7 year old isn't going to wear it right 90% of the time. All that was necessary to say was "we have a new virus which may lead to a bad cold/flu season, so while we're working on figuring out treatments and vaccines we recommend you wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, wear a n95/100 mask WITH VALVE when in close contact indoors or avoid mingling with other people indoors altogether as much a possible if you don't want to take any risk." Everything else stays as it is. Message sent and case closed.
