Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed Russia would be supporting Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election, with some observers noting that his comments were “more mischief-making than a statement of fact.”

Putin made the remarks while speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

“I told you, our favorite, if I may say so, was the current president, Mr. Biden,” Putin while smirking. “He was removed from the race, but he advised all his supporters to support Ms. Harris. So we will do it as well, we will root for her,” he said, prompting applause and some laughter from the audience.

“Secondly, she has such an expressive and infectious laugh that it means she is doing well,” Putin added.

“And if she is doing well, then … Trump introduced so many restrictions and sanctions against Russia, like no other president had ever introduced before him. And if Ms. Harris is doing well, perhaps she will refrain from doing anything like that,” said the Russian leader.

Putin’s comments are likely to be dismissed as a joke by the Harris campaign, while Trump will probably use them to deflect long-standing claims by Democrats that his campaign is supported by Russia.

While making a speech in New York Thursday, Donald Trump quipped that he’s sending a MAGA hat to Kamala Harris because she appears to be just adopting his policies as her own.

Speaking to The Economic Club, Trump noted “The fifth pillar of my plan is to make the Trump tax cuts permanent. They are massive tax cuts, biggest ever, permanent. And to cut taxes even more.”

He continued “And we will have no tax on tips, something which they copied four weeks after I said it. She got up and said, no tax on tips. I said, I just said that.”

“She is actually copying a lot of my plan,” Trump further declared, adding “in fact, we’re going to send her a MAGA cap sometime in the next week. We’re having a special one made.”

“But we also know she doesn’t mean it. She’s going to stick with what her whole life has been about,” Trump urged.

Call me out "if" and when I'm wrong. He wins MN, WI, MI and PA. There might be other traditional blue states in the mix. CO I think is a sleeper. A lot of limousine liberals there, hiking nut jobs, but I think the guys with guns come out and vote. I don't know the east coast well enough (or care to), but I think some traditional blue states are turning into swings state.

The only X factor is if Trump alienates females which is possible. If he avoids that, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if she drops out. Not a prediction. The woman has never gotten a single national vote outside of write ins.

Dems might do a reset and let this one go. Lived in my town '16 and '20. There were Hillary signs and Biden signs about equal to Trump. Nothing. It's actually fucking ridiculous. 50% of the houses in town have a Trump sign. Then remember most people don't put political signs up. Usually a purple county where I'm at. I think it's 70% Trump this round. Won't swing IL, but for once I wouldn't be shocked if it happened by a fraction. IL has lost a ton of libtards. We'll see.

Was always negative on the state. By the default of sucking so bad at governing, I think we're close to getting payback on the conservative end. It will be '28 or '32. I do think IL flips at some point.

Virginia also. In 2020, Trump was well ahead in VA at midnight after the polls closed, but late night dumps gave it to Biden. This time Gov Youngkin has cleaned up the voter rolls and Republicans will be more diligent manning the precincts.
