I previously was sent an invitation to register for the vaccine and choose the appointment time.
They used 2 step authentication for the process.
“Print the confirmation and bring it with you.”
I drove to the Palm Beach County fairgrounds. Signs then people directed traffic to parking.
There was a large temporary building with air conditioning, and a line of people shuffling inside.
At first I showed my confirmation and my ID
“You aren’t 65.” (It was for age 65 and above people)
“See my ID” He was convinced.
The rest of the crowd seemed older than I. I wondered to myself “why aren’t they dead from the terrible deadly virus?”
As I approached the injection table, they took my ID again to check me against the database of people approved to receive the vaccine.
Then, a fireman gave me the Moderna vaccine #1. I will return for #2 in several weeks.
There was no way for an interloper to get the vaccine.
I said to someone “Imagine if they did this on November third?”
“We’d have a different president.”
We were told to sit and hang out for 15 minutes before leaving.
There was excellent organization and I kept wondering “and yet there’s no income tax here.”
