Why does Meghan Markle play the race card when she looks Italian, Spanish, Greek, etc?

In order words, like MILLIONS of other Americans who're classified as white (Italy-to-Russia) or white-hispanic (Spanish speaking countries)

For the life of me, I can't make sense of it?!

I mean she's saying that she can't play black roles ... well, yes, she doesn't look like Angela Basset or Tina Turner.

But then, she complains about not playing white roles? How about playing A.O.C, Jennifer Lopez, or Sophia Loren (with a padded bra)?

Meghan is insecure.
She thinks people are wondering about her race when they’re not.
She’s unsure how to behave around the royals and so blames them for her own insecurity.
She needs to just shut the fuck up.

Just had brunch with one of my mom's best friends (68?). She looks like a piece of bacon.

Brutal. Since she is long past menopause, I guess you could say she is "bacon without eggs."
31   Ceffer   2021 Mar 9, 10:51am

Markle thought she would swan into the Royals and make friends. She solipsistically did not clue in they have had generations of perfecting waspish snobbery to its finest edges, and it defines them in multiple tedious, hidebound traditions and social rituals. There's not much defining pleb values like friendship there. It's probably why Harry was just as pleased to use Megan for his escape pod.

There, they have me talking about the goddam Royals again. Who gives a flying fuck about these twits?

We stopped watching "The Crown" when it became clear in the third season that the Royals had captured it as just another publicity stunt.

What Meghan is ... is a word I haven't heard in years.

It's the expression where ppl finally realize that settling down with a modern American woman isn't worth it anymore.

Meghan Markle is a stateside skank!

And Harry is the biggest cuck on the globe because unlike anyone from the middle classes of America, he doesn't need her.
34   Ceffer   2021 Mar 9, 2:04pm

Megan was Harry's ripcord to bail out of the Royal Grind. Word was he would have preferred to stay in the military forever and not even enter the Working Royal Theater.

Dadsy Charles will always bail them out with money, and probably has a bumper crop of geld from the vaccine/Covid/Globalist frauds. The rest of the crap is just the running soap opera garbage from their captive press publicists.

I'm East European and I am darker than her...she is "dark" only if compared with pasty white Irish, British, or Scandinavians.

May be I also need to start claiming oppression, since according to DNA analysis I am <1% South American Indian, that is, more Native American than Elizabeth Warren!

More like Albino whites, who clearly don't look healthy, given the fact that they can explode under sunlight!

Meghan actually looks like a healthy Caucasian, meaning her health, not state of mind.

How could that happen? There may be a lot of Eastern Europeans in South America now, but I don't think there are many South American Indians in Eastern Europe.

Actually, it's rather easy ... both North and South American Indian genes also exists in Siberia, eastern Kazakhstan, and other regions in the former USSR long before the European arrival in the New World.
40   SoTex   2021 Mar 9, 8:01pm

I worked with a brit scientist back in 2014, right up until they were married around 2017. We'd just been laid off but I was able to tell Paul, "Tell Harry not to do it! He has the deer in the headlights look on his face! This is a big mistake! Harry will regret it!!"

He texted back: "I'll pass on the word to Harry"

Over the years I still send Paul 'toldya so' texts.

This warrants another.

Which makes no sense to me. If you're born rich and powerful, why are you a loser beta cuck?

I mean that's something that loser middle class types do, to gain approval from their neighbors and society.

A rich guy can simply say ... "F' you, I'm enjoying my life!"
43   PeopleUnited   2021 Mar 9, 8:34pm

Did you watch the interview? I did not but the 2 minute I did see Harry implied that being a “royal” is not what it appears to be. He implied that they can enjoy their wealth and power only if they continue to do as they are told by their handlers. Sounds like being a royal is like being a Biden.

two possibilities...

A. Sweden had colonies in Caribbean and brought someone from there to Europe in 17th century, or, more likely
B. Eastern hunter gatherer genes - part of them went to N. Europe, part to Americas via N. Siberia

Maybe it's a mistake in the test. 23andme.com had me as 1% from some specific group in Siberia, can't remember the name now. But then later, they removed that, so hey, I'm no longer Asian now!

I wouldn't trust those tests at all. How could you ever prove they're not making it up? I'm sure they somewhat try to be accurate for the sake of lawsuits. But I'm guessing they throw in some random nationality or ethnicity that "surprises" you. Guess what you do, you then become a walking billboard and start telling everyone you're X% this after taking their test.

I have no proof that happens, but in my mind/world it almost certainly does. I notice I don't even see marketing for their tests or Ancestry. It was rampant advertising not too long ago.

Ancestry, 23nMe etc., all use micro array technology which is some 30 years old. I designed some of 23's chips and yes they aren't perfect. If you really want to know get your genome sequenced with something like illumina's NGS technology which is about 10 years old.

I can for instance show you the start and stop positions of the less than 1% African, E. Asian, SE Asian stretches of DNA in my chromosomes. I can't wait to get my reparations!

@just_passing_through,
do you know which company uses illumina's NGS technology?
49   SoTex   2021 Mar 10, 9:18am

Human Longevity in San Diego. They have a clinic called Health Nucleus. That's where I got my sequencing done when they had a special going on. You have to 'ask' for your fastq files (raw data) but they delivered mine on a hard drive. They also came with VCF files (variant calling format) which is processed data. Beyond that just about any outfit that is doing 'DNA Sequencing' these days as ILMN owns over 90% of the market.

I'm rooting for Pacific Biosciences to win out in the long run. They have long read technology which is harder to make work, but when they do will more accurate sequence difficult regions. It's hard to reassemble a genome in the locations where the DNA is repetitive. Stuff like ATATATATATATA etc..

I don't really see the purpose of all this.

If my great-great-great-great-x-x-x-x-x-uncle was related to the Duke of Earl, it doesn't make me more equal than anyone else in America.

John Kerry claims to be the descendant of the founder of Boston. What an embarrassment for such an aristocratic lineage.

Lots of ongoing DNA research. Some of it from very old South American mummies show surprising overlap with some European DNA. Much is still not known about the world and its past civilizations, but it apparently isn't what we learned in school. Gobekli Tepe kind of blew the lid off of most traditional thinking about the age of enlightened civilizations, and migration patterns of ancient peoples are also being revised.

Mostly, it matches my family history, about half Irish, quarter Polish, quarter Jewish. They could not have known that without doing some other research into my background, which I'm pretty sure they didn't do.

But there are a few percent at the edges they keep changing.

Well. It is sort of egotistical who can argue. However, I suspect you've got better lineage than that. I have uncles that are into genealogy (no science involved) who have accurately traced us back to William "the Conqueror" (formerly known as "the Bastard"), down through his sons, Edward I -> Edward II -> Edward III -> One of his sisters and then we fell off the royal line.

The thing is, I suspect there are maybe a 100 million people now that can say the same, many in the US. Not only that I could never figure this out with any sort of genetics science because excluding chromosome-Y (from daddy) and chromosome-M (from mommy/mitochondria/symbotic_parasites) after only 8 generations you're 9th generation back is completely bred-out.

On the other hand, using the pure male and female lineages I can trace my ancestry in general back 25-30K years and it's fun to read about migration patterns, old cultures etc. Also, genetic algorithms in general is my profession so it helps to keep sharp in between jobs. When you're designing an algorithm how much fun is it to use your own data!

Having that data processed into VCF files is helpful for the general public too. For instance when a new discovery is made people can just look things up in their VCF file. Sadly, those are only very accurate using ILMN tech for single dna letter changes:

acgtTacgt
acgtCacgt <- mutation

It doesn't work well for what we call structural variants. Where maybe a big chunk is deleted or inserted. Or chromosome-1 breaks in half and is joined with chromosomes-2 and 3. There are ways to do that sort of analysis already to some extent but we need better tech behind it, thus, Pacific Biosciences. There is also a lot of bias towards more accurate results with Caucasians but that's changing.

I think I saw you post about GWAS (genome wide association studies) which were supposed to be the panacea for health ~2010 and weren't. Well, if you're interested that's now being replaced by PRS (polygenic risk scores) which are better but still aren't the panacea. The ancestry stuff is generally done using a technique called Principle Component Analysis. Still lots of improvements coming along in the future!

I learned a friend of mine who lives in TX did the ancestry test and was matched with a half brother he didn't know existed in Spain. This is within the past few months. They've been chatting and he showed me the pictures. They look sooo much alike! Crazy stuff.

Another interesting one is the idea that South (and North) America weren't all that isolated from the rest of the world - there's abundant evidence of Polyenesian adventures to Eastern Island and the Pacific Coast.

If the Polynesians could reach Hawaii and Eastern Island, which vast stretches of Open Ocean between them and the Polynesian Heartland, there's absolutely no reason - in fact it's unlikely - they couldn't make the shorter hop to Chile/Peru coasts at the very least.

I have a second cousin who was surprised with a nine year old daughter he didn't know he had by an old girlfriend. So he took care of her after that age, and I always wondered if the mother wasn't just lying and using him.

But then the daughter showed up on 23andme, related to me in just the right proportion for it all to be true. And it's nice to be certain she really is my cousin too.
