A Vermont high school snowboarding coach has been fired for stating that males are biologically different than females.

David Bloch founded the snowboarding team at Woodstock Union High School in 2011.

He has served as head coach every year since.

He told the Daily Signal that the job, which only paid $4,439 per season, was his passion.

“I think it’s so incredible to watch the progress,” Bloch said.

He explained that he loves to see his students “sit on top of a giant slalom course for the first time, and you can see the fear in their eyes, and then by the time they make it down, it’s like I wrote them a check for a million dollars.”

However, everything changed when Bloch and his team were waiting for a snowboarding competition to start last February.

They were set to compete against a team that had a male student who “identified” as “female.”

Bloch, a practicing Roman Catholic, told two of his athletes that there are biological differences between men and women.

He correctly noted males do have a competitive advantage against females in sports, even if they claim to be transgender.

The next day, the Windsor Central Supervisory Union superintendent fired Bloch for violating the Windsor Central Supervisory Union Board’s “Harassment, Hazing, and Bullying” policy.

He was also accused of violating the Vermont Principals’ Association’s related policy for “making reference to (a) student in a manner that questioned the legitimacy and appropriateness of the student competing on the girls’ team to members of the WUHS snowboard team”—all outside the student’s presence.

“I was just shocked that I could be fired for literally speaking biological fact,” Bloch said.

Under this new paradigm, if the male customer correctly being referred to as “sir” suffers under the illusion of actually being a woman and asserts that the speaker—regardless of intent—harmed him by not saying “ma’am,” then the clerk is wholly at the mercy of the caprices of this mentally ill man, subjecting him to a range of possible social, professional, and even legal punishments.

In the second example, the young women were essentially threatened by their institution and leadership if they even expressed their concerns; they were cowed into an agonizing silence, even amongst themselves, all but ordered to endure seemingly endless humiliation with a smile, lest they face possible social, professional, or even legal punishments. All the while, their victimizer was awarded seemingly endless encomium. ...

It is clear that despite the best marketing efforts of the Party, agency is not conferred to the recipient under this paradigm on principle, but on the whim of the Party. This is one more example to show that the Party is not defending the downtrodden, like a kindly Big Brother or some benevolent Nanny. The same people confidently basking in the harsh fluorescent glow of Party protection today will someday find themselves abandoned in the outer darkness to wail and gnash their teeth in vain. The Party remains the ultimate arbiter of what is true and what is false, what is acceptable and what is unacceptable. It grants certain groups power as it sees fit in order to advance its own agendas; it can and will rescind or reassign that power as it sees fit. Much like the God it seeks to replace, to paraphrase the Book of Job: “The Party giveth and the Party taketh away.”

One fun thing progressives like to do is to pretend that concrete ideas - like sex and virginity, male and female - are abstract and flexible. The reason they're doing that here is to trivialize sex. They want kids to think that sex is no bigger deal than making out so they'll be more likely to do it. They want kids to think virginity isn't real so they'll never try to protect it.

And you know what they really want? They want kids to be sexualized at an early age so that they'll be more likely to be both sexually confused and sexually promiscuous, because people in both these categories a) make Planned Parenthood the big bucks and b) join the ranks of progressive activism.

LGBT activist magazine The Advocate ran a surprisingly encouraging story this weekend headlined, “Maine Democrats bail on bill making state sanctuary for trans people amid far-right uproar.”

Maine’s LD1735 was described as a “trans sanctuary bill;” it was a trans activist’s dream come true. The bill would have let kids seek trans “medical care” without parental permission or even notice, and worse, it would have authorized state courts to remove parental custody if parents wouldn’t agree to give their kids hormones or castration procedures.




The language about “taking jurisdiction” would also have allowed state courts to take control of kids from other states, a prospect delighting Pied Piper trans activists who salivated at the thought of luring kids from Florida to Maine for trans medical experiments. In a Daily Mail article, Republican state Representative David Haggan described the bill in alarming terms, saying, “This bill authorizes the kidnapping and massacring of children from other states without parental consent.”

The bill appeared to be headed for approval on greased skids. But last Wednesday, Libs of Tik Tok highlighted the bill, which was then up for a second committee vote. Libs published to her 2.8 million follower all the names and email addresses for the committee members.

There was, apparently, a vigorous response.

According to the Advocate, after Libs shined her spotlight on the vote, the Democrat-majority, bipartisan Judiciary Committee reversed course and unanimously voted (12-0) to table the bill. Democrats on the committee who had previously supported the proposed law now complained that “unnecessary language” had been added.

Maine’s parents have a lot of things to be thankful for; Libs of Tik Tok is one of them.

You might want to research what Germany was like in the waning days of the Weimar Republic. The first attempt at transplanting a uterus was done in Germany in 1931 for Lili Elbe who was a biological man. She died in 1931 from complications.

Dennis Hannon lost custody of his nine-year-old son Matthew after a four-year-long legal battle.

This all started when his ex-wife began treating their son as a girl at age three, calling him Ruby Rose, without telling Dennis.

Things got more intense when Dennis found out that doctors recommended puberty blockers for his son, even though no doctor said the son had a condition called gender dysphoria.

The court decided against Dennis, saying he wasn't supporting necessary medical care for his son because he didn't agree with the treatment.

Dennis spent $150,000 on trying to fight this in court, and after he lost, he had to pay even more money for his son to see a therapist that the court wanted.

Despite all of this, Dennis shared that a year after the court's decision, his son went back to identifying as a BOY.

Reading about transgender people online, Powell believed that the reason she didn't feel comfortable in her body was that she was in the wrong body. Transitioning seemed like the obvious solution. The narrative she had heard and absorbed was that if you don't transition, you'll kill yourself.

At 17, she told her parents that she was trans. They sent her to a "gender specialist," and as a senior in high school she started on hormone therapy and had a double mastectomy before she went to college.

Did anybody in the medical community, upon which she depended to help her, suggest alternatives?

You know the answer.

That last part, the progressive argument that conservatives "won't let kids be themselves," rarely gets challenged, and yet represents nothing less than the complete abdication of parental and adult responsibility.

Maybe there is hope, because there is one thing that little, if any (I found none) commenters were willing to address: The very real-life stories of human tragedy.

It comes down to, who are you going to believe, me or your own lying eyes?

Interestingly, Kathleen Kingsbury, opinion editor of The Times (and who is responsible for overseeing the editorial board and the opinion section) felt compelled to write a companion piece (a link to which is prominently displayed early in Paul's piece) providing Paul some cover and calling for, almost pleading for, respectful conversation on the topic.

She's walking a tightrope, but these stories of lives wrecked because of a mad ideological agenda are only going to grow and will become increasingly difficult to hide, paper over with "studies," or ignore.

A tidal wave is coming, and hopefully, for all the human cost, it brings some sanity to our shores.
