Facemasks in the COVID-19 era: A health hypothesis
Baruch Vainshelboim⁎

Abstract
Many countries across the globe utilized medical and non-medical facemasks as non-pharmaceutical intervention for reducing the transmission and infectivity of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). Although, scientific evidence supporting facemasks’ efficacy is lacking, adverse physiological, psychological and health effects are established. Is has been hypothesized that facemasks have compromised safety and efficacy profile and should be avoided from use. The current article comprehensively summarizes scientific evidences with respect to wearing facemasks in the COVID-19 era, providing prosper information for public health and decisions making. ...

Conclusion
The existing scientific evidences challenge the safety and efficacy of wearing facemask as preventive intervention for COVID-19. The data suggest that both medical and non-medical facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting against the usage of facemasks. Wearing facemasks has been demonstrated to have substantial adverse physiological and psychological effects. These include hypoxia, hypercapnia, shortness of breath, increased acidity and toxicity, activation of fear and stress response, rise in stress hormones, immunosuppression, fatigue, headaches, decline in cognitive performance, predisposition for viral and infectious illnesses, chronic stress, anxiety and depression. Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Governments, policy makers and health organizations should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks, when the latter is considered as preventive intervention for public health.

Yes. Teacher Guild School Boards disobeyed it and tried to Judge Shop, but they are running out of time. Some gave up.

I find that as I age, I get sick less often - which is paradoxical, but when I get sick, I get sick.

When I was in my late 20's and actually gave a damned about being in shape, I used to run about 5 miles every day. I got the flu. I was sick in the morning and recovered entirely by the afternoon but I was sick.

I haven't been sick in years. I had a touch of something early this year which MIGHT have been sars-cov2-19, it was mildly annoying, food started to taste bland for several weeks, but I was otherwise fine within a day.

https://spectatorworld.com/topic/apple-store-lets-go-brandon-corporate-mask-policies/

I was dress shopping for a wedding at Tyson’s Corner in Virginia last Thursday when I saw two security guards and a man wearing a “Let’s Go Brandon” sweatshirt having a heated discussion.

Usually I would assume shoplifting was involved and move on, but considering the left’s freakout over the “Let’s Go Brandon” chants sweeping the country and their insistence on punishing those who use the phrase, I stopped to listen to the exchange.

I soon gathered that the man, who later identified himself to me as Alex Caballero, was kicked out of the nearby Apple Store for allegedly violating their mask mandate. Caballero told the security guards that he entered the store because he had a service appointment. When the store’s security guard told him he needed to wear a mask, he pulled a gaiter up over his face. The store guard and manager insisted that Caballero’s gaiter wasn’t good enough and told Caballero he would need to wear a mask provided by the store or leave. Caballero asked to see the store policy indicating he could not wear a gaiter, but the guard and manager refused and instead threatened to call the police. No one involved refuted Caballero’s version of events.

After about a 15-20 minute conversation outside of the store, one of the security guards told Caballero that he was “free to go”, because apparently it’s not only legal, but a good use of time and resources to detain someone because Apple didn’t like the type of mask they were wearing.

The Apple Store mask policy does not specifically prohibit gaiters. The company website says the following:

N95 masks with valves, and masks that do not cover your nose and extend below your chin — such as bandanas, are not permitted at Apple Stores. Replacement masks will be provided as needed.

Does a gaiter not extend below the chin and cover the nose? I asked the manager of the store if he could clarify the mask policy, and he declined and told me to call corporate. I reached out to Apple via their listed contacts for media and did not receive a response.

Caballero told me he suspects his “Let’s Go Brandon” sweatshirt played a part in the hostility showed to him by the Apple Store employees and Tyson’s Corner Security guards.

What is more obvious is how absurd it is that people are still dealing with inane corporate mask policies more than a year and a half since the start of the pandemic. We have seen time and again how businesses implement poorly defined, unnecessarily strict, or just plain unscientific mask mandates in the name of “public health”. To most sane employees, enforcing these policies is an inconvenience. Some, unfortunately, abuse this new power they have over customers, leading to incidents like the one at Tyson’s on Thursday.

You know what’s even sillier about the Apple employees’ insistence that a gaiter wasn’t an acceptable mask? Just a day later, Bloomberg reported that Apple would remove its mask mandate for customers at over 100 stores due to declining COVID-19 cases and rising vaccinations across the country.
278   GNL   2021 Nov 10, 7:23am

I went into that same exact Apple store as I live but a mile or 2 from Tysons Corner mall. I was refused entry. I went in anyway, called everyone in there faggots via raised voice and gave everyone the double finger salute. Then I left. I was going to switch to Apple but changed my mind to NEVER will I.
279   Patrick   2021 Nov 10, 7:31am

https://strongandfreecanada.org/vlog/masks-useless-and-potentially-lethal-interview-with-mask-expert-chris-schaefer/

Chris Schaefer is the director of SafeCom Training Services in Edmonton, Alberta. He has been training professionals, including health care professionals, in the proper use of masks for over 25 years. In this interview, Chris reveals that masks are not only completely ineffective for preventing the spread of a virus, but are actually extremely hazardous to our health, and especially for children.

On blood clots…

“They know hypoxia causes thrombosis. We know the breathing barriers [masks] cause hypoxia. So people think the only way they’re going to get circulatory blood clots is through the vaccine? No. You can get it through the breathing barrier too. It’s a recipe for death.”

On what masks are doing to our kids…

“This is torture, what they’re doing in the schools by mandating these breathing barriers [masks].”

On the harms caused by masks…

“When you trap this carbon dioxide, it causes two immediate, measurable harms that can be measured within the first 10 seconds that somebody is wearing it. Gradually increasing levels of hypoxia, which is insufficient oxygen and gradually increasing levels of hypercapnia, which is high carbon dioxide, high dangerous levels of carbon dioxide accumulation.”

On the impossibility of blocking a virus with a mask…

“Viruses can’t be filtered by any type of mask. Because viruses are too small. In order to see that viruses even exist you need to look at them through an electron microscope. Now that’s how small they are. There is no filter that is small enough to filter any viruses, including coronaviruses. There is nothing fine enough to filter viruses. It’s impossible. It’s always been impossible.”

This is true. At first they thought that Fauci's virus might be spread through "fomites", or things you touch. Turned out to be false.

Then they said it might be spread through exhaled water droplets. Turned out to be false.

It's spread through aerosols, incredibly tiny particulates that masks to literally nothing at all to stop.

SANTA CRUZ, California (LifeSiteNews) – A California county has imposed a mask mandate for all indoor gatherings regardless of vaccination status, including those in private homes.

On Monday, Santa Cruz County announced that, effective Sunday, wearing masks will be required in all indoor settings where people from more than one household are present, including gatherings in private homes.

“What it looks like to the public is that we’re going back and forth and can’t make up our minds. What it really is, [is] science evolving as we speak,” said Dr. David Ghilarducci, the county’s Deputy Health Officer, in the announcement.

COVID rules are blamed for 23% dive in young children's development: Disturbing study shows scores in three key cognitive tests slumped between 2018 and 2021, with face mask rules among possible culprits
Face masks and other social distancing measures may in fact impede on children's development, a new study executed by Brown University has found
The probe analyzed the cognitive development of the youngsters through infancy, childhood and adolescence
In the study, researchers first analyzed 1,070 assessments administered on 605 kids prior to March 2020, when COVID lockdowns and masking began
A further 154 assessments from 118 kids administered between March 2020 and June 2021, during the height of the pandemic, were then carried out
Thirty-nine children born in 2018 and 2019 were analyzed over the course of the pandemic, into 2021.
The report found that there was a 23 per cent drop in scores measuring kids' intelligence quotients since the start of the pandemic
The study also found similar dips in the same span in regards to developing children's ability to communicate, both verbally and though subtle facial cues

Researchers shoot holes in study touted for confirming 'masks work' in curbing Wuhan Virus

An acclaimed study on the effectiveness of masks in reducing symptomatic COVID-19 is facing new scrutiny after a researcher highlighted the minuscule infection differences between "treatment" and control groups randomized across 600 Bangladeshi villages.

Accused of design flaws and overstating its findings when it was released in late August, the study's newly released data show only 20 more symptomatic COVID cases in the villages that didn't receive masks and related education, reminders and "role modeling by community leaders."

In a total study population of 342,126 adults, 1,106 people in the control group tested positive, compared to 1,086 in the treatment group. The latter group represented 52% of the study population.

"I have a hard time going from these numbers to the assured conclusions that 'masks work' that was promulgated by the media or the authors after this preprint [not yet peer reviewed] appeared," University of California Berkeley professor Ben Recht, who studies machine learning, wrote in an essay last week.

He said he was frustrated that the "raw number of seropositive cases" was left out of the preprint by researchers led by Yale University economists Jason Abaluck and Ahmed Mobarak, preventing him from "computing standard statistical analyses of their results."

Face mask policies were dropped in England in July, but were re-introduced this week. Iceland and Co-op, two large supermarket chains in the UK, have publicly said they will tell staff not to enforce the new divisive mask rules. They will allow people who are unmasked to enter their stores and will serve them. The British Retail Consortium said that it was the responsibility of the police to enforce the rules. People can make a difference by refusing to comply with unlawful policies.

I've been having legit panic attacks on flights with the mask and I love flying. I've had some success keeping it off, but I'm thinking about it the whole damn time. And I know it raises my BP in a pressurized cabin like you're on a small mountain.

And let's say masks are effective, it has to restrict O2 intake and you're sucking in the outtake. In what way is that healthy? I should be allowed to take a risk of getting a mundane virus or I can choose to stay home. Not forced to wear a mask by a business or government. Once past TSA I generally don't wear the mask. People don't realize it, but there's no one there to enforce wearing one until you get to the gate and on the plane. And other Karen's likely now know the arguments and how wrong they are. If your mask works, you're good. Don't worry about me.

Lol, good response.

Everything is a contradiction with this pandemic. Literally everything. Masks work. They don't. Vaccines work. They don't. Social distancing works. It doesn't. People have done all this and it's still spreading faster than pre-masking and vaccines. Our group/family that has it now has the sniffles. Kids don't even notice it.

We've always needed to protect the vulnerable. I've said that for a while. I'm on the health push now, but even people of average health and age barely notice anything with covid. If you're fat and or old, I'd worry less about the mask and vaccine and get your ass in shape pretty quick. It's not about breakthrough cases, the vaccine simply doesn't work. You can still get sick. Being healthy is key.

the year was 2009. a kinder time. a gentler time. a time when “slate magazine” still knew that masks do not stop SARS or swine flu because the virions are too small and too aerosolozied.

there is still not a single, valid, clinical outcomes RCT that supports masking to stop covid.

there are literally dozens that show inefficacy.

the science here could not be more clear.

there is no data that can convince people who do not care about data and choose to clutch talismans instead so they can feel like they are “doing something.”

this is just the low energy path to profess tribal allegiance and signal virtue.

it will only stop when you make it stop.

and they are STILL selling this bill of shoddy goods for one more turn in the limelight. this is the final, grasping desperation of the narrative slipping away. they lost the center because the data become too obvious and the lies too many and too outlandish to support.

masks = fear.

masks = alienation.

masks = signs of submission and that everything is NOT normal.

wearing masks promotes a crisis mentality.

it’s why the panic pushers love them.

sure, the 20% that genuinely adore this and uncritically consume all input from their team will stay onside, but that’s not where the fight is.

the fight is in the center.

that’s what tips. that’s where norms come from. and they are waking up wholesale to the hallucinatory health policy they’ve been tripping on.
