Another group of people whom I'd classify as "too clever by half". People who are are geniuses in their field, but either due to naive optimism or lack of wisdom, are unable to ever foresee the actual implications of their efforts.

This is basically transhumanism, the area of convergence between biotech, software, and nanotech machnery, highly talked about among ppl like Ray Kurzweil.

And yeah, Kurzweil's a dreamer because it's going to be dystopia 101, more than some singularity paradise as he envisions the future.

Foolishly predicting the future is one thing. Foolishly enforcing the future is another. Of course, no stack of human suffering and misery will be enough for the 'Clan of 3000' Davos monsters.
