Accidental? Like, the overdose ran them over in the street? More like intentional self administration that didn't go as planned. Not an accident, but an unintended consequence.

I recall 12,000 people die falling down stairs for example.
The overdose deaths are pretty high; my father died in 2017, and the guy with the funeral home told me his business was more young than old, and this was in Palm Beach County, with a huge geezer population. “I don’t get many like your father these days, I’m getting lots of kids who overdosed.”
Sometimes fentanyl is being mixed into the dope and it’s more likely to kill people.
