Yep. I wish they would stop with the "Slippery Slope" Fallacy. On every social issue I've seen get legalized or decriminalized in my life, the meat of the "Slippery Slope" claimants came true.
Weed will cure cystic fibrosis, and free the mind, led to millions of smoked out losers, sometimes graduating to harder drugs... for every one that succeeds while being a habitual smoker there are 3 that are marginally or unemployed Green Time Warp Zone residents... Potheads inherit houses from relatives, within a few years it's a crack house or meth den because their "Friends" moved in...
Gay Marriage turning into No Bullying Courses in K12 that turned into LGBTQ+ clubs that turned into Drag Queens at School and finally bans on sharing "Gender Identity Disorder" diagnosis from School Officials (usually "Licensed Socialist Workers") with parents.
Calling it 'marriage' was a purposeful subversive turning of the language originally intended to denote a union between male and female. It was a shot across the bow in the downgrading, subversion and perversion of the marriage concept itself, just as 'feminism' was an Intel agency caper to hang women from their own hysterical petard.
Lol! Now, the so-called empowered women are being defeated in sports by castrated and artificially estrogen juiced men, and raped in prisons by trannies. The irony.

OK, I'm going to argue with this one.
Without doubt weed made me a better person. More compassionate, more thoughtful. It makes ME creative, but often in ways that are useless, but sometimes in ways that are very useful.
It doesn't demotivate me, quite the opposite.
I think I am an outlier though. I can't smoke up and go to sleep, when I smoke up, I have to study, learn. It doesn't appear to effect me in the same way as other people.

Dr. John Money did that..
The problem is that parents don't have control over publik edukashun. Do you even know what the budget for your local publik skool is? Most parents don't care, and aren't involved. This is the result.
Dr. John Money, a New Zealand Calvinist who rebelled against his parents and religion, emmigrated to North America, faked the reports of the recovery of David Reimer who he told the parents to raise as a "Girl".
BUT, the social push I described was well beyond Dr. Money. The tactics were from a book published in the early 90s talking about decriminalizing sodomy, then pushing for 'partnership rights', then full marriage, then anti-bullying, then transrights, and eventually liberating all sexuality from government. It was about dropping the "Crazy People" tactics and having gays put themselves out as ordinary people and that "Love is Love". I'll have to find the name and author of the book, it's the Rules for Radicals for LGBTQ+
