That was no period of peace. Mass deaths occurred with Italy attacking Ethiopia, Japan invading Manchuria, Chinese civil war, the Holodomor, and Stalin's mass purges.

What do you guys think of this? I always look at history as cycles that constantly repeat and a friend of mine told me about this book.
