While I'm tolerant because of remembering the joy from my youth, I would also welcome a strong-fisted crackdown because of the stress it causes to animals.
I wouldn't even think of having a ban on the noise.
"a strong-fisted crackdown", because we already have a ban. (Like President Jackson said back in the day, "John Marshall has made his decision, now let's see him enforce it.")
Some people swear by marijuana treats for their skittish dogs. The stuff is expensivo, though, like $60 per small bag.

Thank you for the tip, F*ckCCP89
A crackdown (not a ban as we already have a ban) would be a nice welcome change for the animals. But I would not ask nor lobby for it, because I remember what it was like to be a kid during "4th of July season". Boys will be boys. (sorry for the gender reference, Wokesters and SJW's).
Benadryl at a dose of 25 mg tablet per 25 pounds. Totally safe for dogs. That and just run a fan and tv.
Dogs are like kids, they are NOT kids
My Dog is scared of fireworks.
My Wife is not happy about them.

They are like children to us.
A difference is, we spoil them more than we spoil our children.
Nobody wants to imitate these drifting, shiftless, cultureless interviewees who’ve allowed themselves to be robbed of any history or meaning and unplugged from anyplace they can call home. They don’t love the country they live in, and they have no plans of moving anywhere else either. They live in a foggy, ambiguous, uncommitting in-between dimension, not belonging to their culture but also not not-belonging, either.
