I just watched the full Australian news clip, that country is lost unless it completely fires its politicians, either by vote or revolution. It really looks and sounds like a dystopian movie, one has a hard time grappling with the fact that those are real news.

Mell, maybe you know, is it the Provincial Governors or the National Government? The guy who was elected was supposed to be based, and won in a surprise against the Left-Liberals who were supposed to cruise to victory.

I don't know much about their politics - I traveled quite a bit in my life but Asia and Oceania has not been part of it, but I do know a guy who married an Aussie girl and moved there long ago and a kiwi who visited the US for a year then went back from many years ago. They don't seem to be bothered as once it a while I get some notification that they posted something which I never read but serves as a daily reminder to get fully off facetwat, so I really wonder how they are ok with or even supportive of that. Even compared to the "evil US of A" which is now trailing many European countries in terms of personal freedom they are living in a shithole of a prison over there. I will not visit any countries as long as they imprison their citizens, my goodness China is looking "freer" now than Australia or NZ. But I did realize that a lot of womyn are involved in their govt, among mostly pussy men, which clearly shows that womyn are dangerous as leaders as they are herd creatures and will stifle any freedom for their own citizens, with very very few notable exceptions such as Thatcher (though I didn't agree with all of her policies).

I was no fan of Thatcher because of her anti-Irish policies, but I'd far rather have her as president than the "feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap" as that mother of a marine killed in Kabul so aptly put it.

I knew some Aussie guys back in the early 2000s who were living in Indonesia to escape what they called the Feminization of Australia, the Divorce Laws, etc.

I think their slide has been like ours; Aussie Men used to be legendary for their Macho behavior.

The Australian state of New South Wales has issued extreme crackdowns on the online organizing of protests in the region, and have now arrested over 150 people for organizing or attending 79 separate anti-lockdown protests. Most of the protests are said to be organized on social media.

Don't they have a Constitutional right to Freedom of Assembly like we do?
