It was an excellent event!

Maybe 150 friendly people with signs and flags on all four corners of that intersection. Someone just handed me a handwritten sign that said:

If you ever wondered whether you'd resist or comply in 1930's Germany, now you know.

I liked it, so I carried it for two hours.

A few people flipped us off, and some guy threw a water bottle at the crowd, but there were far more who gave the thumbs up and honked in support.

They're going to do it next Sunday as well, and I think every Sunday from 2-4 until the Stasi/FBI mow them down with machine guns. These people are definitely not going to give up.

I'm going to go again for sure.

Awesome, Pat. Thank you for doing this.

My hands are full but I intend to do some messaging at some point when the temps make long walks possible.

Thanks for doing this! I have family there and this is just getting way too bonkers! I may leave California sooner than later. I had some friends that up and left in two months to Texas. I'm considering it!

I met a "health care worker" there (a nurse I think, small Asian woman) there who said that her job is demanding the jab, but she refuses and will probably leave California to find a different job instead of getting it.

Someone else told me that you can buy groceries in Santa Cruz County without a mask, unlike San Mateo County.

A third person, very sad, told me about a woman he knows whose 30-ish year old son got the jab and then died in her arms after it, bleeding from the mouth.

Santa Cruz County
that's horrible!

Santa Cruz County was pretty nice! I was there in July and no one really wears a mask. My sister lives in SF and spent a whole month there and now she's complaining SF is still not normal hahhaaha. Sonoma County where I am is a mixed bag.

There is definitely 'mask fatigue' everywhere. All except for a few anal retentive types and hard core Komrades just seem to be sick of it.

Santa Cruz has not had masks, but it hasn't been that long. It's not like they rebelled, they just dropped the requirement a couple of months ago and not enough alleged or even fake Covid deaths to reinstate.

What do these type of protests do though? Don't get me wrong, I think they're great and should be happening. Hopefully enlighten a few people. I don't think it moves the needle at this point as the vast majority is afraid of death from basically the flu now. The brainwash is strong.

Money and legal action are really the only way to stop these local dictator types (governors, municipal boards, etc). You shouldn't be allowed to "mandate" anything. Your city, town, village should VOTE on it, not just the board or council. The mayor or president of your village should have zero ability to mandate mask wearing. Governors of states shouldn't have the power to mandate anything without legislative approval.

I'm on a board. We legally have to post an agenda 48 hours before a meeting. There was no notification of a mandate to wear masks by Prickzer. How would any citizen be able to protest or question the mandate? That's a fucking dictator.

Any state on the map. I'd get the fuck out of urban areas. Even big suburbs. The people and government are toxic. The people fighting against this shit in urban areas are doomed. If it's not covid it will be something else. It's never ending what people "think" they need to fix or force you to do and this attitude is rampant in cities and big suburbs.

Why is it that the wealthy all have rural(ish) properties they retreat to in the summer or winter months depending on what they like? No one from SF retreats to LA. Probably going to Tahoe or some wealthy enclave in Idaho, Utah or AZ. They make their money in urban places and don't want to live among you most the time. If you have the ability I'd move to a rural place. Even deep blue IL, just not Chicago. Don't let the state politics mess with you. Find a small town or rural land/house within 20-30 min of a good grocery store and some amenities like restaurants and never look back. Sure you'll drive more, but even cornfields can be relaxing instead of traffic, tent cities, bums and shit all over.

Mainly they inform others that may have the same stances that they are not alone. It brings confidence to those and instils a stronger willingness to stand up for themselves. It may not sound like much, but it's quite a powerful tool and it's why the establishment seeks to crush it and why they use propaganda to imply that everyone is on board with their agenda, making people who aren't feel alone, left out, demoralized, and more likely to giving in.

Amen. When SHTF, you don't want to be anywhere near the epicenters of insanity.

This would be enough.

But I also think it does show a lot of people driving by that they are not alone either.

SF already introduced them forcing restaurants and bars and gyms to not accept unvaccinated people indoor I think. Fuck them. Glad we got outta there. But even those unvaxxed in SF should just work out outside, cook their own meals to stick it to them.

Yep, nobody really NEEDS a gym. Or a restaurant for that matter. Maybe the latter sometimes when travelling. But definitely not in one's hometown. So fuck them all very-very much.

I have a long history of holding signs in very public places about controversial issues and positions. Retail Democracy can be fun!

One of my pet peeves is people who make shitty, illegible signs. Best way to do this is with cheap latex paint (get dirt cheap "oops" paint that was tinted and never claimed) and 1 inch foam brushes. You can whitewash cardboard with thin white latex, but good high contrast 1" letters really pop even on plain cardboard. You have like 7 seconds and as many words to catch peoples' attention and make an impression, or not, so think like a billboard copywriter.

Giuliani’s Son and Candidate Sliwa Speak as Hundreds Gather to Protest Vaccine Mandate in NYC
BY ENRICO TRIGOSO August 16, 2021

MANHATTAN, New York—Around 300 people and GOP leaders gathered on Sunday afternoon, including Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa and Rudy Giuliani’s son, Andrew Giuliani, to protest against Democrat New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s vaccine mandate.

Mayor de Blasio recently announced a vaccine pass mandate for restaurants, gyms, and performances in the city that will be enforced on Sept. 13 with fines of $1,000 or more. An executive order to this aim was issued Monday and will take effect on Tuesday.

The event took place a block away from Gracie Mansion, the official residence of the New York mayor.

The event’s flyer had hammer and sickle symbols photoshopped onto photos of the mansion and the mayor. Sliwa also called the mayor “comrade Bill de Blasio” during his speech, highlighting the Marxist influences on the current mayor.

The Epoch Times reached out to the mayor’s office for comment.

Some of the attendees held signs that condemned mandatory vaccination, and others showed their strong suspicion toward big pharmaceutical corporations as well as the vaccines themselves.

Before the speeches, the national anthem was played as several American flags waved, then loud chants saying “USA! USA!” resonated near Gracie Mansion.

Sliwa, founder of the neighborhood watch group The Guardian Angels, then started speaking after a brief introduction.

“We know whether it’s Pfizer, or Moderna, or Johnson and Johnson that gets the first FDA approval, it will no longer be [a] choice in the workforce. They’ll tell you, ‘you either get vaccinated or you’re fired,’ or ‘stay home,’ ‘don’t show up at work,'” Sliwa said amid cheers from the crowd.

“And who does that hurt?” Sliwa asked rhetorically. “All the working-class men and women who’ve been forced out of their jobs during the pandemic, but especially people of color, black people, Hispanic people who have a lower vaccination rate.” ...

“So I suggest [to] all of you, we put aside our political differences—Republicans, conservatives, Democrats, liberals, progressives, independents, Libertarians—and join together in solidarity. Because we are America, the land of the free, where choice is given to the citizens. We trust the people, not the politicians!” he shouted toward the conclusion of his speech.

Other featured speakers were NYC Council Minority Whip Joe Borelli and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s son, Andrew Giuliani, who earlier this year announced he will be running for New York governor in 2022.

The Epoch Times asked Giuliani his opinion on the vaccine mandate and how it could be implemented.

“I think that’s the real tricky part of all of this,” Giuliani said. “You are now forcing these restaurants that have been really crushed over the last 17 months to now have to try to find more people to hire when they’re already understaffed.”

Some small businesses and a group of NYC officials protested against the mandate shortly after it was announced, saying it will severely affect their operations.

“Do I think that they really thought through this? Absolutely not.”

In regard to government overreach in terms of the vaccine mandates, Giuliani said: “If you look at the Constitution, the 14th Amendment, the due process of laws, I think it protects our individual right, whether or not we want to vaccinate ourselves or not.”

We are all going to do it again this Sunday:

Also, another rally to recall Newscum:

It was excellent once again. Great vibe to the crowd, many supportive cars honking.

Best sign of the day:
