Could have just been an Afib episode. I developed Afib over a year before COVID. At the time I was overweight, but even now, 40 pounds lighter, it still happens occasionally. Stress, caffiene, high alcohol consumption, heartburn... are all triggers. When I got the jab in May, my symptoms were unchanged.

Not at that age group. Needing the defib, medics, blankets and the attention of a shitload of people... Nah.

That's likely unrelated to the flight unless you have a genetic predisposition to thrombosis and didn't inject warfarin/heparin or whatever they have been prescribed to take before.

You could be right, but my guess is it was just a straight out panic attack at that age. Most people don't understand flight and it's safety and think their plane is going to crash. Now you strap a mask on them in small ass seats and I could easily see people having a panic attack. The vax could also increase panic attacks too, we have no fucking clue. Hence why I won't take it. Plus I have high hereditary BP.

I get massive anxiety when I fly because of being in a confined space as a taller guy. And now having to mask. I honestly take an edible or get hammered before flights and sleep it off. It's a delicate balance because I generally will get a car at the destination. Having a SIL with 6 DUI's and my Dad (dead) and sister being attorneys, I take drinking and driving pretty seriously unless it's under a mile.

Then there's all the unknown with travel. I don't know, I get super anxiety before travel. It's already kicking in for my trip near the end of October. We have three stop overs on the way down to STT. Will a flight be delayed? I have to get a covid test. Will it be negative (it will, rubbing it on my balls). Will my kids be good with my mom and her getting them to school. Wife just got the 2nd shot (I disagree) and will she have side effects. List goes on. 6:30am flight to Tampa first. I'll be trashed before we leave. No joke. Wife will be too since it's a kid free trip and on this one we'll Uber/taxi to our hotel in PR and then fly out to STT the next morning.

Look in the back of the plane to see a bunch of flight attendants huddled around what looked like a person in the planes back area behind the restroom.

Last Saturday I was on Caltrain and the same thing happened.

I suddenly see it in a different light.

I have no doubt incidence of "rare events" in young and middle-aged population will increase. These are not "bad" for the TPTB as it lessens strain on social security and medicare/medicaid if younger people die quickly after having all their hard earned cash drained by taxes. Of course if it causes more long term issues as well that may be counteracted, but in todays BP-dominated world pretty much everyone ends up in their claws with some chronic medication/illness so they are making money either way.

I'm 38. Everyone I know is on something. My wife's doc put her on birth control because she was irregular with her monthly cycle. All my friends and neighbors are on some sort of anxiety, anti-depressant or some other thing.

I take nothing besides some OTC supplements to make sure I'm getting adequate nutrition whether I'm eating well or not. Insurance so to speak. I haven't swallowed a pill since probably 2016-17. My body barks, I want to feel it and understand it, not mask it. If you have a headache for 4 days and just pop a pill for the pain and that clot moves and the headaches goes away, you just masked a potential serious issue. BP is a huge issue, but even OTC meds are bad for you.

Work out. Eat as healthy as you can. Your body will tell you if something is fucked up. Don't cover it up with pills.

Yup. I've flown hundreds of times. I've seen meltdowns and panic attacks.

This was different.

Wookie, I've had panic attacks as well. But those usually come/go. This girl was not hyperventilating or freaking or flustered. She looked like she was trying to stay calm but her heart was racing and I'm assuming there was chest pain earlier and shit if they were pulling out the defib.

The stewardess we're seriously concerned.

If she had a pulmonary embolism, (a blood clot in her lungs) she might have rapid heart rate due to lack of oxygen to the heart and brain.
