The judge will assume that the man is capable of getting an equivalent paying job. If the judge determines that the man quit the job as a strategy to lower alimony, the judge will base alimony on "imputed" income. Same applies if the woman quit her job as a strategy to get more alimony.

Why in the hell would you remarry? Male or female. If it didn't work the first time what makes you think it will work the 2nd time or 3rd time? You're picking bad women or it's you. At some point stop shooting yourself in the foot.
