Thank you man, you're right on that score It was "My kids need to see what normalcy and routine looks like." and "Holy shit, at 65 I'll be broke from her spending, and if I manage to hide something, she'll drag me and spend it on a trip to Italy for 3 months." I'm also just fucking tired of gaslighting and hysterics.

Just got word from a long time pal (A Floridaman turned Coloradoman) he got a divorce a few months ago. Second time. Guy's always been in great shape at at 51 says he's getting lots of tail on hinge. Makes great cash but fortunately so do both of his exes and he's never had to pay alimony.

IMO, the trick to life and a happy marriage is being happy with who and where you are in life. If you want something different, work as a team to make it happen. That includes having a happy marriage. Selfishness is the #1 marriage killer imo.
As soon as I was able to convince my wife that money in the bank was just as fun as spending it, she changed. It's been working out pretty good.
