Canada’s peaceful anti-mandate protesters keep on truckin’
Trudeau’s government has tried everything — except, you know, actually talking to the truckers...
As thousands of trucks from all over Canada began converging on Ottawa last week, the thrice-vaccinated Trudeau announced that he had been exposed to Covid and had to isolate, even though he was testing negative. Subsequently, on January 31, he said he had tested positive and would continue isolating. The world collectively rolled its eyes.
From an undisclosed location, far from the madding crowds, he issued a rebuke to the approaching citizenry: the “fringe minority” heading to Ottawa held “unacceptable views,” he said, and did not represent true Canadian feeling.
What were these supposedly unacceptable views? The Freedom Convoy began rolling across the country to protest the vaccine mandate for cross-border trucking. Its members say they are not against vaccines, but against mandates — all mandates. They believe government overreach is ruining the country they love.
“Small businesses are being destroyed,” convoy representatives wrote on their GoFundMe page, “homes are being destroyed, and people are being mistreated and denied fundamental necessities in order to survive. It’s our duty as Canadians to put an end to [these] mandates.” They said they would protest peacefully in Ottawa until their demands were met.
This “fringe minority” has raised over $10 million in mostly small donations on GoFundMe in around nine days — nearly three times the amount fundraised by the Liberal Party of Canada in the first quarter of 2021. From coast to coast, the “fringe minority” rolled along roads lined with thousands of Canadians of every description out in the bitter cold, cheering wildly, letting off fireworks, waving flags and homemade signs, handing out carefully packed lunches and boxes of supplies, thanking truckers for demanding a return to normal life.
It was a welcome no contemporary Canadian politician could dream of — certainly not the unpopular Justin Trudeau, who won the last election with just over 5.5 million votes out of a population of 38 million. Supporting the truckers brought people together, instilling new hope and patriotic pride into Canadians, demoralized after two years of some of the harshest health measures in the world and subjected to extremist and divisive rhetoric from both media and leadership. Elon Musk, who supports the freedom truckers, said it best: “It would appear that the so-called fringe minority is actually the government.”
Musk’s comment is all too accurate. Trudeau is terrified of talking to peaceful Canadian citizens, because he’s afraid engaging with them will legitimize a public conversation about ending the government’s dictatorial emergency powers. He would find himself on the losing side in that conversation: as a new Angus Reid poll shows, a majority of Canadians want Covid restrictions to end.
What Trudeau would like to talk about is the supposed violence, hatred, racism, antisemitism, vandalism and disorderly conduct of the truckers, all of which he bravely condemned from his undisclosed hideout.
But he’s having a tough time of it, since the truckers are in fact orderly, racially diverse and remarkably peaceful. (Interestingly, the head of convoy volunteer security is a former police sniper from Justin Trudeau’s security detail, who resigned after refusing to comply with the vaccine mandate.)
Of the two main spokespersons for the convoy, Tamara Lich and Benjamin Dichter, one is part Indigenous and one is Jewish. Many participants are not white, including numerous truckers of Indigenous and South Asian origin. A Confederate flag and a swastika flag were made much of in the mainstream press, but they were disavowed by participants, who asked the balaclava-wearing individual with the Confederate flag to leave. Organizers offered a $6,500 reward for anyone able to identify the man who carried the swastika flag.
Ottawa police reported zero arrests, zero rioting and zero injuries at the end of the weekend, though two locals were arrested later on. A disgusted CBC journalist posted a photo of trash on a downtown sidewalk — but it was bagged and neatly piled for collection. Mainstream media raised an outcry about supposedly defaced statues (somebody dressed the statue of cancer runner Terry Fox in a rather debonair flag, hat and sign) and desecrated monuments (some juvenile stood on the tomb of the Unknown Soldier shouting “Freedom!” which was disgraceful, but hardly “desecration” as the word is generally understood). Truckers spent time later cleaning the Terry Fox statue and brought flowers to the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The truckers say they won’t leave Ottawa until their demands are met. Ottawa’s mayor wants to have the rigs towed, but local tow-truck drivers have taken a leaf from the prime minister’s handbook. Reportedly, they’ve told officials to a man that they’ve come down with COVID and can’t help.
A supporting group of trucks has been blocking a major border crossing between Alberta and Montana since Saturday, demanding the removal of all mandates. Again, tow-trucks are reportedly declining to assist in their removal. The premier of Québec has scrapped his plan to impose a punishment tax on the unvaccinated. Conservative Opposition leader Erin O’Toole may well be toppled in the coming days for his failure to challenge Trudeau.
Events are flying thick and fast. There’s a whiff of freedom in the air. By the time Trudeau makes it out of quarantine, Canada may be a different — and a happier — place.
My first and most striking observation was the mood of festivity that permeated the crowd. The noise was deafening at times. Many thousands were there, and everyone I saw was happy and smiling. A few times, people spontaneously broke into singing our national anthem, and it moved in a wave across the crowd.
I called it the Joyous Protest. I spent hours on the Hill, moving around the crowd in various locations, and I did not observe or hear about ANY violence or even unruly behavior. Ottawa Police reported no incidents. On three occasions I encountered groups of 5 or 6 Ottawa cops moving through the crowd. They were calm, smiling, courteous, non-confrontational, and in one case I saw a high five to a demonstrator.

CANADA PM TRUDEAU SAYS PROTESTERS IN OTTAWA SHOULD GO HOME

Watch as a phalanx of Canadian farmers breaks through a police barricade to join the truckers protesting the vax mandate
Tell me this doesn't make you want to just get up and join our brothers-in-arms in the freedom convoy up north:
[Royal Canadian Mounted Police] had closed the roads to the community on Monday at the nearby community of Milk River leading to Coutts.
That police roadblock was breached by trucks and tractors on Tuesday with the vehicles racing down both the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway leading to Coutts.
The incident occurred just as RCMP began to move in on the Coutts protesters in the early afternoon and led to a suspension of the Mounties' enforcement efforts.

According to CBS yesterday, there were only about 250 protesters but they expect more this weekend.
Freedom Convoy 2022 Remains Peaceful & Lawful, Despite Forces Attempting to Subvert Message
Covid-19 Statistics / By Gord Parks / February 4, 2022

The Trucker Freedom Convoy 2022 has been working around the clock for weeks to assure safety and respect for everyone involved in the protest on Parliament Hill, Ottawa. That includes not just the truckers and their support staff, but anyone who attends the rally in any capacity, regardless of their views on the trucker protest. The overarching themes of the protest are Freedom and Love, and they apply to any person irrespective of their views.
Those organizing and involved in the protest have consistently and unwaveringly promoted nonviolence, open-mindedness, love and compassion. Yet sadly there is evidence that there are forces attempting to subvert that message using tactics that are undemocratic and un-Canadian. Examples abound:
Hotels refuse to renew reservations to those involved in the rally citing full occupancy, yet hotel staff report, confirmed by even casual observation, that the occupancy is barely 25%. Individuals and groups have had to scramble to find alternate accommodation.
Garbage cans have been removed in the downtown area, so the truckers have set up garbage bags and the city has never been cleaner.
Organizers received resistance when trying to bring Port-a-potties to the downtown for the public to use.
Access to public washrooms has been restricted during the protest.
Resistance to fuel trucks needing to supply truckers with fuel in order to stay warm and functioning.
In order to maintain public safety, road and sidewalk cleaning has been done by the truckers because the city has not done so.
Despite all of this, those involved in the protest continue to stay positive and committed to Canadian values of freedom, peace and compassion.
When the fringe becomes the majority
Both wrong. Numbers are in the 10's of thousands. But if CBS is your source, I'm surprised you even heard about it.
The Revolution is Not Being Televised

Despite bitterly cold weather, Canadians have turned out en masse in Ottawa to support the approximately 100,000 truckers’ Freedom Convoy from all across Canada. They’ve been joined by 11,000 truckers from the U.S. An endless line of cars waited to cross the border into Canada on Sunday to join the freedom party. The truckers are saying “Hell No!” to vaccine mandates and passports. The Trudeau government mandated unjabbed drivers quarantine for 14 days after returning to Canada.
Single digit temperatures have done nothing to quell the speeches by day and nightclub atmosphere after sunset. A Quebec resident reported that when he left the party at 5 am Sunday, people were newly arriving. Many on livestreams and in chatrooms have repeatedly said “This is the first time I’ve been proud to be a Canadian in a long, long time.” Two speeches on Monday spoke of 17 year old Sean Hartman. Sean’s father is a trucker. Sean wouldn’t even drink soda to protect his body to further his hockey career. In August, he took the jab without his parents’ knowledge so he could continue to play hockey. A month later, his parents found him dead in his bed. Feb. 1 would have been his 18th birthday. At his father’s request, the crowd sang “Happy Birthday Sean Hartman”.
The road to Ottawa was equally impressive. People bundled up their children and headed out in snow and wind to the highway and overpasses with signs of support and flags to cheer on the truckers. As the east headed convoy passed through throngs of supporters, their comms would go silent. Brave, strong men brought to tears by the amazing show of support. Twenty-five Hutterite communities banded together to make meals for the convoy. Hundreds of other people passed food to the drivers. At night, the trucks and support vehicles would pull off into areas that had been specially plowed for them. Bonfires, food tents and pallets of windshield de-icer welcomed them for some rest. From Vancouver, BC to Ottawa, Ontario represents 46 hours of driving across the Trans-Canada Highway with the convoy stretching 300 miles.
Trucking coordinator Len Petkau reported on social media “This truck carrying all the food from people donating is pretty much full already. Everything from windshield washer to oil, antifreeze, dog treats, water and all kinds of food. Every place they stop the stores will not take payment and it does not matter what they take! Fuel stops are giving 50% off on fuel. Hotels are free and there are thousands of people handing them food as they pass by. It is clear this is supported by 90% of Canadians! When my drivers call for updates they are in tears, all choked up. All of them!”
Unlike “mostly peaceful” BLM and Antifa protests, there has been no looting or burning. Trash has been piled neatly and volunteers have been out staying ahead of clean-up. Free food cooked on grills is being given to everyone.
There are unconfirmed reports a figure of $45 million had been pumped into agent provocateurs to disrupt the protest. Organizers have warned truckers and supporters to be aware and report. They’ve been instructed to surround the agent and yell “Fed, Fed, Fed!” to deter their actions. So far, disruptions have been few and the dying mainstream media has had to settle for manufacturing their usual lies.
For weeks prior, the truckers have given words to the wise to stock up. Some feel that The Parasites will blame the truckers for the food shortages they are already engineering. Signs remind “If you bought it, a trucker brought it.”
The crowd diversity has been in about equal proportion to Canada’s general population. Truck drivers in turbans and all other ethnicities are represented. The Hindustan Times YouTube channel put out a video “Karma Strikes Back- Canada truckers protest continue. Indian Twitter mocks Justin Trudeau.” Native drums and chanting are part of every gathering.
Trucks have used their size for great signage. One hay truck driver wrote across his freight “My Rights Don’t End Where Your Fear Begins.” Protest signs in the crowds have been clever. Some are aware that Fidel Castro has an excellent chance of being Justin’s actual father. They have morphed Let’s Go Brandon into Let’s Go Castreau and Let’s Go Brandeau. Truck Fudeau has been popular. Trudeau, after his outrageous insult calling the truck convoy “A fringe minority with unacceptable views” had gone into hiding at an undisclosed location. He said that a family member had Covid and although he tested negative that he’d self- isolate for five days. That’s now turned into having Covid and continuing to hide out in “an undisclosed location”. Signs have shown him to have COWARD-19 and fear of the new Freedom Variant.
The Freedom Convoy 2022 Go Fund Me has met their $9 million goal and is on it’s way to $10 million. They have a team of accountants getting funds out to the drivers through a request process. Some have quipped they have enough money to wait out Trudeau’s return for a year.
The astounding response in Canada has motivated truckers around the world. In Australia, a reported 40,000 trucks are rolling to their capitol Canberra. Truckers from Finland, the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, and Lithuania are all organizing. Working class men and women finally taking back their power. On Saturday, 29 Jan. a large protest was held in France outside Pfizer’s building. Austria and Germany also has record crowds protesting. Crowds so large that video cameras couldn’t capture them.
Towing Companies in Canada Turn Down Requests from Police and Mayor to Haul Away Trucks

Towing companies in Alberta, Canada reportedly refused the requests from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to assist in the removal of trucks from Coutts Port of Entry on the north side of the Alberta-Montana border.
Abe Martens from Xodus Car Transport who also offers towing service told the Western Standard, “We are here with our trucks at the blockade, but we are participating and are in full support of the truckers.” ...
In a video posted on Twitter, a woman said that she was just talking to a local who has lived in Ottawa for 30 years.
“He told me that the Mayor of Ottawa called tow truck companies to start towing the semis out of the streets and every company said that they have COVID,” the woman added.

Then the fucker called Trudy and asked for the Army. Army said 'no' because they were worried the truckers were armed with guns.
