Well, I'd rather have my money back if it can't go to the truckers, so I admire their honesty.
TRUCKERS WERE RIGHT: Freedom Convoy protest was legal, judge says, and Ottawa is now being sued
MONTREAL — The Canadian government trampled on fundamental human rights with its COVID restrictions, then overreached on dealing with the Freedom Convoy and must now answer to numerous lawsuits, including one by a former premier, says a well-respected constitutional lawyer.
Speaking on Montreal lawyer Viva Frei’s Youtube channel on March 25, Keith Wilson noted that the mischief charges against his client and convoy leader Tamara Lich, will not be successful. She counselled truckers to move in order to comply with police demands, not to block emergency lanes, he said.
Wilson is also a lawyer for former Newfoundland Premier Brian Peckford, who is suing the federal government for breaching the charter of rights by preventing unvaccinated people from leaving the country or getting on a bus, train or ship.
“Obviously we are going to be able to establish Charter breaches,” Wilson said, adding that the government restricted mobility, security of the person and freedom of conscience.”
Wilson said he would not be able to live with himself if he hadn’t helped the Freedom Convoy when he got the call for help from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms on Feb. 1.
“I have been so concerned about the direction of our country,” he said. “I have been so fundamentally concerned about the trampling of civil liberties and the lost of rights and the overreacting to COVID. I have been so concerned about the future for my children, deeply, deeply concerned, and was inspired by what the truckers were doing.”
Wilson also clarified that the Freedom Convoy protest was not illegal at any point, even though Prime Minister Trudeau called it illegal, and big media went along with it.
RCMP monitored journalists, scrubbed social media accounts after leaked messages of cops bragging about trampling convoy protesters
The national police force focused on hiding the identities of these officers by deleting videos or articles or tweets that mentioned any of them. The team decided to pull down pictures of the officers involved from RCMP websites.
Canadian protester trolls tyrannical government by virtually attending Calgary protest after authorities banned him from downtown ✊
Did you know that there are some folks in Canada (like the Freedom Convoy organizers) that are NOT LEGALLY allowed to protest Covid mandates?
Well, meet Devlin Gannon.
Devlin is an independent journalist who was dramatically arrested during a Calgary, Alberta protest against Covid mandates.

Pack of lies from government journalists at Trudeau's CBC state broadcaster.
s. 129 of the Criminal Code already gives police the power to commandeer tow trucks. There was no need to impose martial law and seize bank accounts to do that.

I could not despise Canadian police forces more than I currently do. This isn't remotely amusing on any level as Trudeau sends in armed riot police when there's a protest against him and the police snap to attention and obey his orders. Far past time to defund the police.

#ottawapolice

No Emergencies Act for them, no riot police, no bank account seizures. They’re violent thugs, but they’re Trudeau’s violent thugs. So Trudeau’s police and Trudeau’s journalists are fine with it.

Unconstitutional suppression of the right to protest in the US.
Alberta is lacking full-time qualified Paramedics
Maybe the ones who got fired for not being injected should be re-hired? Just a suggestion.

An article was published to the interweb from Global News today entitled “‘We’re on our knees’: Alberta EMS union says system on the verge of collapse”. It is about the current situation involving 911 call responses in Alberta. My opinion about what to believe usually comes down to the people on the ground. The people on the ground are speaking.
There have been signals emerging from the airline industry for months. Of the pilots that Latane Cambell knows personally, 80% said they would refuse the booster.

You've got six-hour line-ups in your airport.
But you're putting people and money into running simulations of Canadians protesting against you because you violate our civil liberties.
You are a national disgrace and an international joke.
But you already know that.

Our emergency exercise is now complete. Thank you to all the volunteers and partners that participated in this important event that tested our response to a protest on airport grounds. #YYZEMERGEX
Canadians did not consent to the WEF monitoring our travel. As Prime Minister, I will never join these programs or partner with any global organization, including the WEF.
Veteran marching to Ottawa in protest of COVID mandates to be joined by pro-freedom politicians
Conservative Party of Canada leadership candidate Roman Baber and People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier will meet up with James Topp on the last legs of his journey.
A Canadian veteran on a county-wide march to Ottawa in protest of draconian COVID mandates will be joined in the last legs of his journey by Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) leadership candidate Roman Baber and People’s Party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier.
On Tuesday, Bernier tweeted that he will join Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) veteran James Topp “for the last 30 km of his march on June 30!”
“Please come and support @CanadaMarches who is fighting for all those who lost their jobs because of Trudeau’s unscientific and authoritarian vaccine mandates,” Bernier tweeted.
Baber tweeted Monday that he will join Topp on June 15 “on the #MarchToFreedom.”
“We must respect choice of all Canadians, including CAF personnel. James is marching from Vancouver to Ottawa to support Canadians hurt by mandates. @CanadaMarches,” Baber tweeted.
Topp, who served for 28 years in the CAF, began his march after being inspired by the trucker Freedom Convoy that took place in Ottawa. He said seeing the truckers fight for Canadians’ freedoms gave him new hope and strength and faith in the working class.
He started his 4,395-kilometer (2,730-mile) journey in February, beginning from the Terry Fox monument in downtown Vancouver. His march will conclude at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa later this month.
Topp took issue with the fact that Canada’s legacy media have not bothered to cover his journey in support of freedom.
As reported recently by True North, Topp said what he is finding is that there is “pretty much a total corporate media blackout on this endeavour.”
“To that end, I would say, you know, folks who want to go out there and start banging the drum and shaming the CBC or CTV,” Topp said.
“This is an amazing story of – 100 days in – a group of people who had never met each other before February 20.”

You've heard of the Canadian 'freedom truckers' who protested discriminatory vaccine mandates, but they didn't all go to Ottawa. Another group decided to make their voices heard by taking a stand at the Coutts, Alberta-Sweet Grass, Montana border crossing.
This is their story.
#1 book on Amazon Canada right now is a children’s book slamming Justin Trudeau’s response to Freedom Convoy. It's modelled on the Dr. Seuss classic "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". Link to book in comments. (media.scored.co)

Tucker Carlson: "If you can take their guns, why can't you take their homes? Why can't you empty their bank accounts? Ooh sound paranoid, Alex Jones stuff? That just happened in Canada."
Has the science changed? There’s no way to know, since the government never revealed any of the evidence these mandates were based on. Or how it differed from the science relied on by every provincial government in the country that dropped vaccine passport policies.
Why is the science different on an airplane than it is in a movie theatre, gym, or stadium? ...
The mandates were brought in right before the fall federal election in what seemed like as a political wedge issue. The wedge appeared effective at the time, as the policy was popular. ...
This seems to be the perfect bookend. The policy was introduced for political gain, and it only makes sense that it ends once it becomes a political liability.
The problem is that the government made clear in their announcement that they would not hesitate to bring back restrictions in the fall “if required.” But the ministers of transportation, health and intergovernmental affairs were unable to provide any clear benchmarks that would justify that requirement.
Police told Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino in an email that the convoy was peaceful
The information was later confirmed by Public Safety staff in an email circulated to senior bureaucrats.
I call Parnet's double standard on protests too: truckers protesting Trudeau's vaccine mandates are regular people voicing legitimate grievances but Ukrainian protests against their president reneging on his campaign promise to sign the association agreement with the EU is "muh colored revolution Soros coup!"
