Has the science changed? There’s no way to know, since the government never revealed any of the evidence these mandates were based on. Or how it differed from the science relied on by every provincial government in the country that dropped vaccine passport policies.

The mandates were brought in right before the fall federal election in what seemed like as a political wedge issue. The wedge appeared effective at the time, as the policy was popular. ...

This seems to be the perfect bookend. The policy was introduced for political gain, and it only makes sense that it ends once it becomes a political liability.

The problem is that the government made clear in their announcement that they would not hesitate to bring back restrictions in the fall “if required.” But the ministers of transportation, health and intergovernmental affairs were unable to provide any clear benchmarks that would justify that requirement.

There was never any serious pandemic. It was all political.

30 years ago I used to bike up to Niagara Falls from Buffalo, and I could cross the border to Canada without ANY hassle at all on the Rainbow Bridge, but coming back on the Peace Bridge and dealing with US customs was almost always a hassle.

True. We used to cross over into Windsor for entertainment when I was in college. You barely needed to slow down for the Canadian side at the time. They just waved you in.

The way back was much tougher, with the US side asking questions and looking in your car.

If Ukraine's traitorous government was consistent on their treatment of all foreign threats(assuming your assertions are correct), you would have a point. But they don't. Targeting just one group and not others is fascism and an affront to 1st Amendment rights.

If I look through your comments, what percentage will denounce Trudeau? Biden? Trump? Saudi Arabia? US bombings in Africa, and the Middle East? I have no mixed feelings here. It was morally right for the policeman to donate. He is employed by the Canadian government, but they were doing immense evil in requiring the dangerous and ineffective toxxine for all truckers. He was trying to do something about that evil.
