#winterheatwave We have an Accu Rite weather station on the patio. It measures the temperature, wind speed, rainfall amounts, humidity, and barometric pressure. I check it against the computer. It is accurate. Yesterday afternoon it reported a temperature of 94 degrees Fahrenheit (34.4444 Celsius). In my 18 years in Pacifica, I have never seen a temperature so high. It is even more amazing that this is happening in winter. Fortunately, we had high rainfall rates in November and December. Otherwise, we would be facing a terrible drought. If things really got bad, a small desalinization station could be built. It would not need to be one of the huge billion-dollar facilities like the one used in San Diego. These plants consume massive amounts of electricity. There is some good news on this front thanks to the Rolls Royce Company and The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Rolls Royce is famous for luxury cars and building some of the best jet engines in the world. They have also gone into providing very small nuclear reactors for spacecraft. These units are state of the art and super safe. They could be adapted to powering desalinization units. Bill Gates put a lot of resources into designing very small and ultra-safe nuclear reactors. He has produced incredible results. One of his reactors could power a small desalinization unit.
Finally ignored. These posts are just "boil the frog" missives wrapped in a layer sappy, feel-good nonsense. They sound so...believable, so...reasonable, right? Calm, seemingly well reasoned, to get you to buy into the climate warming narrative. Bye!
Here in SD it's been mid-80s during the day and upper-40s at night all week. When the Santa Annas blow through LA we get a touch of it down here. Perfect weather!
