How did this happen? It was intentional. Laundering, stealing, mindful subversion etc. etc. We could probably rebuild our infrastructure twice over with top notch results with what has been stolen. Instead, it goes to endless wars and corrupt politicians and Babylonian debt slave Euro banksters.

Don't know how or why anyone would take public transit. I get flights, but I'll drive or take an Uber locally if in a city. Unless it's a pub crawl on a safe train line, I ain't touching public transit. No germaphobe but it is gross even on the nicest train lines.

I think in America it's a cheap way to get drugs and party. Our culture is way different than other countries. My understanding is also that other countries, especially Asian has policing that's not more strict, but they don't have to worry about race. Commit a crime, you're arrested and you don't have to worry about media race baiting it. Arrest a black guy as a cop here and there's a chance you're the one going to jail. So they let shit go.
