Any doubt that many progressives have abandoned their commitment to free speech was erased by the hysterical reaction to Elon Musk’s effort to purchase Twitter and return the company to its roots as a free speech zone. Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich and “woke” neocon Max Boot fretted that Musk’s commitment to free speech threatens democracy. Those confused by how free speech threatens democracy should remember that for neoconservatives and many progressives democracy means allowing the people to choose between two largely identical supporters of the welfare-warfare state. In this version of “democracy,” those whose views are outside the welfare-warfare mainstream — such as libertarians — are marginalized.

Elon Musk Says He Would Reverse Twitter’s Donald Trump Ban

Of course, since that is a sound business decision that would bring in more audience/revenue.

I liked Trump. I'm kind of nearing the saturation point though. Who fucking cares? Announce a bid for '24 or just go away. He'll be as old as Biden when he was "elected" in '20. I want young blood. I want energy.

Trump was fine, his ideas were fine. Why can't there be someone that's 50 years old with the same ideas? Kind of sick of the geezers. Trump gets media, but only knows Twitter in the tech sphere. He could have been much more prominent after "losing" in 2020. He couldn't figure it out.

And literally as I typed this I got a text from a pro-Trump PAC dissing one of the Republican governor candidates I personally know here in IL. He's the best option for the state at minimum. Might have POTUS ability if he wins governor in 6 years. He's a politician, so I still take everything with a grain of salt. AKA I don't trust any of them regardless of party. He came to my dad's remembrance or wake though and know him well enough.

He can't legally do that until after the midterms.

Speaking at a virtual event on Tuesday, the Dogelord Supreme confirmed that The Donald will be unbanned from Twitter and blasted the initial decision to boot him off the platform.

"I think it was a morally bad decision to be clear and foolish in the extreme," he said at a Future of the Car event hosted by the Financial Times.

He added: "I do think it was not correct to ban Donald trump I think that was a mistake … It alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice."

It Begins: Heads Start To Roll At Twitter As Two Top Leaders At Company Out
https://www.dailywire.com/news/it-begins-heads-start-to-roll-at-twitter-as-two-top-leaders-at-company-out?source=patrick.net

Two of the top leaders at Twitter are no longer with the company as the social media platform begins to make changes ahead of Elon Musk’s expected arrival at the company as its new CEO after his $44 billion purchase of the company is finalized.

“Kayvon Beykpour, Twitter’s general manager, is leaving and will be replaced by Jay Sullivan,” The New York Times reported. “Mr. Sullivan is currently the interim general manager of the consumer product. Bruce Falck, Twitter’s general manager for revenue, is also departing the company.”

An internal company memo from CEO Parag Agrawal obtained by The New York Times said it was “critical to have the right leaders at the right time.”

“The truth is that this isn’t how and when I imagined leaving Twitter, and this wasn’t my decision,” Beykpour said in a statement on Twitter. “Parag asked me to leave after letting me know that he wants to take the team in a different direction.”

Some wokers are being rooted out.

"the Elon" is an odd coincidence.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/may/14/wernher-von-braun-former-ss-officer-nazi-us-space-programme-nasa-apollo

Basically, the Nazi rocket scientist (Wernher von Braun) who architected Apollo 11 for the USA to take our astronauts to the moon had written a science fiction book in 1949 in German. It wasn't published then. In 2006 it was translated to English, and finally published.

Basically, a future USA finds signs of intelligent life on Mars, so they send an expedition to investigate. Martians, who live underground, welcome them and are very advanced. Their leadership is 10 men, and one super wise man at the head of them. The head guy of the martians is called "the Elon".

What are the odds? Maybe this isn't so unlikely depending on the meaning of the name "Elon", or some history of the name which I'm not familiar with.

it's worthless.

Every Western social media has been banned in China for many years already. And Russia... who the fuck cares about that midget if a media market? Their whole population is what - 140 million? Substract these still shitting in a hole in the ground (1/3), pensioners with mere 20 bucks per month to rub together (another 1/4-1/3), hopeless alcoholics and FAS-suffereng retards and who the fuck would even bother doing media business there?

Whatever Twitter problems are, being not big in fucking Russia is the least of them. If it even registers on their radar at all.

'Twitter does not believe in free speech': Undercover Project Veritas recording reveals Twitter engineer saying platform censors the right but NOT the left, everyone who works there is 'commie as f**k' and they 'hate' Elon Musk
Project Veritas have published a secretly recorded conversation with a Twitter engineer admitting the company has a left-wing bias
Siru Murugesan, described by Project Veritas as a senior engineer at the company, said it was 'commie as f***'
He said many employees were angry and worried about Elon Musk's takeover of the company, and 'did all we could, to like revolt against it'
Murugesan said that Twitter had operated an extremely left-wing, lax culture where people could take any time off they wanted and not worry about profit
He told the undercover operative that there was 'bias' against conservatives, and said: 'Twitter does not believe in free speech'

Elon is saying that if you just view things in chronological order, a lot of Twitter's power to influence you goes away.
376   NuttBoxer   2022 May 17, 8:30am

Looks like not ever. Musk is saying he won't buy if they don't reveal their bot numbers. See my comment in another thread, this was all show to get some more laws passed restricting free speech.

Elon Musk is NOT your friend.
378   NuttBoxer   2022 May 17, 12:39pm

Saw a post from someone who went from 90,000 down to 50. Coupled with this loss, they also realized the majority of their "interactions" on twitter have for years been with bots.
People don't tend to radicalize without an extreme stress(see Middle East), or lots of encouragement. If the government designs tons of bots to support extremist viewpoints, people become more likely to do things in public they wouldn't otherwise consider. Now these people are in the minority, but if government can martial a group of them to start going after us...

Twitter is idiotic.

Elon Musk is revealing one of the Deep State's main mechanisms for changing society by manufacturing fake consent.

Like I said, the disappearance of comments in Western news sites - while other country's papers have rich comment sections - all at the same time, claiming budget - is a huge red flag. And often, the comments are selective - they're on for dumbassery like celeb gossip, but off for anything political or social, like Groomers in Schools.

They're claiming budget because nobody reads them any more.

OLD people still go to these sites. That's about it.

They are far less effective at manufacturing consent than they used to be, and they know it - that's why we have a Ministry of Propaganda now. It's not going to work, but it will get worse and more desperate before it gets better.

'I think it's just like the environment, like you're there and you become like this commie.' Murugesan said that right-wingers were openly censored.

'Ideologically, it does not make sense like, because we're actually censoring the right, and not the left,' he told the undercover reporter.

'So, everyone on the right wing will be like, 'bro, it's okay to stay, just gotta tolerate it.' 'The left will be like, no, I'm not gonna tolerate it. I need it censored or else I'm not gonna be on the platform.

'So, it does that on the right. It's true. There is bias. It is what it is today,' said Murugesan.

Musk himself has frequently complained about a left-wing bias on Twitter, noting that right-wing figures like Donald Trump and Steve Bannon are banned while extremists on the other side are allowed to remain.

TSLA removed from the SP500 ESG index (environmental, social, and governance investing) by wokers. They say because tesla has had some claims of racial discrimination, and some car crashes, so they booted it.

1 month ago I think it was Exxon that banned divisive flags, including pride flags, from company flag poles, which made wokers reeeeee. But exxon, the evil oil giant, is still better than elon in their eyes, because NOTHING can compare to the damage that the Elonification of twitter will do to the left.

Elon is on such a roll. He's shining more light on leftist hypocrisy and propaganda than anyone else right now.

It means a lot. Because twitter has only one fucking job, it's to spread bot propaganda. It has no value if there are no eyeballs from target countries.
Plus it's not like there are actual users in America, other than faggots who work at Twitter and millions of fake accounts.
395   AmericanKulak   2022 May 19, 12:30am

Again, the elimination of commentary from most Western News Sites around 2013-2015 was part of the Overall Strategy to force Westerners from countless decentralized news sites, whether their Local Paper/ABC Affiliate/"Missing Link" Media or the National Papers and Networks, and onto Social Media, where the Disinfo Strategy of first Bots then with added "Factcheck" by Globalist NGOs could create the illusion of a false majority/agreement.
