It's hard to describe. Like, it does look like what a woman might do when you're getting busy (the eyes closing, mouth opening, etc), but it seemed too random, and delayed. Give it time! Innovations will happen slowly, until a point of mass adoption, then they will orgasm, I mean, explode. It's already night and day from just a few years ago.

Given the both increasingly aging and single population of Asia, I expect it to boom in about a decade.

Also, being mostly in China, competitors mostly prefer to rip each other off vs. R&D and innovation. But eventually they will have better sensors and modelled after real women's reactions.

They're sticking in $20 wholesale parts in there but upcharging hundreds of thousands of dollars for them. More competition will increase features and lower prices. Really the dolls themselves can be easily manufactured for less than a thousand, even a couple of hundred (Kimber which is about $700 retail) but are marked up 300-500%.

Already there Rin, RealDoll hasn't innovated in years. They now have sensors on the breast, vag, and asshole for only a few hundred bucks. Problem is it's not compatible with the heating or breathing imitation systems.

They're already adding this as an option in the low end ~$1000 basic, unrealistic dolls for a few hundred extra now, and this old video doesn't illustrate that it can now tell the mouth stimulation from other places, but most do:

Well, they've been like MicroSoft, err ... I mean MacroHard, for too long & needed to face some competition to up their game. So while RD founder Matt McMullen has been at work, he's allowed others to enter the space.

I think MacroHard will produce a better product in a few years and leapfrog some of the newcomers but that's not my worry. In this case, pure capitalism works.

IMHO, the best thing about RealDolls or its competitors is that they've turned boinking into an analogy of the cigarette smoking addiction. They've provided the "nicotine patch" which in this case, saves far more money than the patch ever could with smoking while at the same time, providing the pleasure w/o the bullshit.
