Some people are claiming that they don't have an "inner monologue" - is this possible?

So, to explain what an inner monologue is, it's basically when you're having a conversation with yourself - like this:

Does anybody LACK that? I just think they don't understand what an inner monologue is. That's a depiction of one, of a dumb individual for jokes, but still - that's what it is. Does anybody actually lack that?

I couldn't even speak out loud how fast my mind races and I talk to myself in my head. Hence why most my comments are novels. I just keep thinking of something extra as I type.

The irony of this, is when I first heard of people claiming to NOT have an inner monologue, the first thing I thought with my inner monologue was "how would that be possible?"

I certainly think faster than I talk and I tend to have to slow down my talking consciously.

Some guy I talked to has a theory that some people are living in a fantasy world, where they constantly think they are playing a role. He remembered some crazy girlfriend he had that would unconsciously "Recreate" scenes from TV and movies they had seen together, right down to the dialogue.

I have an inner dialogue with several different entities.

I wish a couple of those mother fuckers would leave me alone.

I love it when I sit next to someone on the train and they say "Are the voices in my head bothering you?"

And that someone responds: "Why not at all, who do you think put them there?"

I didn’t watch the YouTube video above, but my inner desire is to punish somehow all of the assholes who are fucking with us, from Fauci to Biden to Pelosi to Hillary to Schumer to Cheney to Romney and all the rest of them.

I fantasize that I’m Billy Mumy in the Twilight Zone and I use my invisible power to turn them into corn stalks in a field somewhere.

Maybe turn Biden into a Jack in the Box bobble head.

So, as I read what you wrote, my inner monologue asked "well, how would they even write without an inner monologue?"

I don't think it's possible anybody lacks an inner monologue. I don't see how would even be possible to think. I think it's yet another fraud in psychology.

My inner monologue doesn't have much to say these days. Most of my inner monologue has always been about solving code or data issues, or world issues as it was understood when most people were sane and grounded.

Now that I'm not in the software development market, and mainstream reality is off the rails. I would rather not have the voices in my head chiming in anyway.
