I put up with a lot of bad calls by Trump, defended him. But this is too much.

I will still vote for him in 2024 if he is the Candidate, but now I prefer DeSantis.

I'm in the Florida panhandle and I didn't see the Newsom ads.

I heard that the ads were only played in Miami.

Newsom could not get even kool aid drinking Democrats to move from Florida to California.

Unfortunately I think Trump will run and if he doesn’t get the nomination he might go independent.

Trump would only run if he thinks he can win. If he goes independent, he surely won't win. In addition the the usual problems of getting on the ballots of the states likely to vote for him (25 to 30 states) there will be any number of virtue-signaling state workers putting up additional roadblocks to that process. It's not like he'll be able to hijack the Green Party to get a jump start. He'll also wind up splitting the Republican vote, virtually guaranteeing a Democratic victory; that'll make him unpopular with 100% of the voters that actually like him.

I have doubts about DeSantis. Yes, he is a logical choice... but so was Trump (alternatives considered). All I'm saying is: should he get elected I won't be surprised if his asshole has a greater gravitational pull for Jew cum, greater repulsion for actual MAGA than Trump. Betrayal follows the pattern (((who do they surround themselves with)))... but what "alternative" is there? BTW I am more than happy for DeSantis to stay governor of Florida.

Wait: Kamala

Didn't Kamila get 1% in the Democrat primary?

For the life of me, I don't get why Libtards think Newsom can run on a national ticket. Or any other California politician.

Wait: Kamala

But she was tied to the ticket no matter how few votes she got.

No one knows him outside of CA. I could ask 10 of my friends here in IL who is the governor of CA and 10 of them wouldn't know. The only reason I do is because of this site mostly.

Occasionally a news story gets me to remember a governors name. But hell, I don't even know the Wisconsin governor or Indiana right now and they're my neighbors.

But that's basically why they think he could run. From what I've heard here he's a chump, but most of America has no clue about Newsom. Fact is he's a pretty boy that can talk. That's better than what we have now. I'd never vote for him though on a national level knowing what I've heard here and else where though. He's a Mitt Romney type. Looks good but has no soul.

Fact is POTUS is generally decided by women and the looks of the person running. Nothing to do with policy or leadership. I can promise you if you polled women voters they would have thought Biden was more attractive. Many don't/didn't think the creepy petting shit was bad, but actually good. He like kids and is kind to them. Whether the election was fixed or not, I'd guess he got more women voters than Trump.

The Tenure Board should really be a State department. It's key to take tenure authority away from the Radical Woke College Administrators.

Also, Florida needs to investigate all these "Peace and Justice" programs at Community Colleges, which are taxpayer funded Marxist-PoMo indoctrination camps.

An interesting question is why he did not announce it in 2017.

I like that he speaks clearly.

Trump’s pandemic failures will haunt his 2024 bid
When Covid came, he caved like a weakling to the forces of bureaucracy ...

The decision to maintain Anthony Fauci in his role was absurd and insane in retrospect. He kept on Deborah Birx and others long after they had proven to be incompetent. The outsourcing of decisions on keeping schools open was ridiculous. And time and again, he engaged in an approach that ceded authority to others rather than making decisions himself about the process of governance.

In contrast, Ron DeSantis governed as a leader not trapped by the vagaries of the moment. He made decisions the media judged, but stuck to them in spite of it. Trump, beholden as always to the whims of the newapers and CNN, caved in the face of this pressure. He allowed Anthony Fauci and others to become the de facto policymakers of the moment. And he did nothing to defend the truly balanced perspectives of those like Scott Atlas and the signers of the Great Barrington Declaration, who risked their careers to tell the truth about what our national policy ought to be.

True, and he encouraged people to take the dangerous and ineffective vaxx. He even claimed credit for it.

Unfortunately, true. But will DeSantis close the border, tariff China to bring industry back, and make the US self-sufficient in energy? Will DeSantis fire the deep state operatives and put real investigations into the FBI's blatant partisan storm trooping and cover ups?

If he runs, what will he be running again?

Doesn't matter anyhow, the fix is in. He will lose the primary is my bet.

Trump: Unvaccinated Soldiers Deserve Both an Apology and Their Jobs Back

"We have to abolish all COVID mandates and lockdowns and rehire every patriot who was fired from the military with an apology to them and give them their back pay that they've been looking for."

OK, but Trump is very late with this. He should have immediately objected to all mandates, but did not.

55   Goran_K   2022 Jul 28, 11:40am

I love DeSantis, but I also want Trump in 2024 so he can make good on his promise to cut the teeth of the federal government. I would love to see a lot of these ABC agencies lose major funding and have their staff reduced by 50%. I know, a dream, but one that makes me sleep well at night.

An interesting question is why he did not announce it in 2017.

Bushie advisors telling him America would collapse if he did so - if they mentioned it at all. 4 years of experience plus the massive election fraud and Biden Regime policy also. Now he realizes you can't drain the swamp one bucket at a time, you gotta build some pipes and suck all the shit out.
57   AmericanKulak   2022 Jul 28, 12:43pm

Reclassifying Policy Making Admins with Schedule F as eligible to be removed would be a massive swamp draining tool. There's 50k admins in the Fed Gov that can influence policy; if they influence policy, then an admin should be able to nix them if they're opposed to the boss' policy changes.

I didn't know he could do that, but makes sense that the governor is in charge of law enforcement.

I agree but isn't it pleasant to see a politician admit "I was wrong"?

Never saw that from George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, John McCain, Bob Dole, or anybody. I'm tired of that.

I don't trust Trump entirely, I think he's a megalomaniac, but he's the least worst politician we've had as president in probably 30 years. If he's just garbage, that's a step up, what we normally have is radioactive toxic shit.

Some great ideas, but issuing a report to DC officials seems opposite of what you'd want to do.

It's not exactly clear but I read it as: state banks report to florida when DC officials request IRS info on people.

Yep, this is like when they have somebody file a lawsuit as "Jane Doe" asserting all kinds of horrible things, they alert the media, and the candidate is smeared.

Then they withdraw it before it gets to the first hearing, damage done.

The way the media pounced on it, you know it was a setup. DeSantis is based AF and has an actual track record of legislation, redistricting (he got the legislature to be TOUGHER), anti-woke, anti-Disney, etc.
