I put up with a lot of bad calls by Trump, defended him. But this is too much.



I will still vote for him in 2024 if he is the Candidate, but now I prefer DeSantis.

The decision to maintain Anthony Fauci in his role was absurd and insane in retrospect. He kept on Deborah Birx and others long after they had proven to be incompetent. The outsourcing of decisions on keeping schools open was ridiculous. And time and again, he engaged in an approach that ceded authority to others rather than making decisions himself about the process of governance.

In contrast, Ron DeSantis governed as a leader not trapped by the vagaries of the moment. He made decisions the media judged, but stuck to them in spite of it. Trump, beholden as always to the whims of the newapers and CNN, caved in the face of this pressure. He allowed Anthony Fauci and others to become the de facto policymakers of the moment. And he did nothing to defend the truly balanced perspectives of those like Scott Atlas and the signers of the Great Barrington Declaration, who risked their careers to tell the truth about what our national policy ought to be.


True, and he encouraged people to take the dangerous and ineffective vaxx. He even claimed credit for it.

I love DeSantis, but I also want Trump in 2024 so he can make good on his promise to cut the teeth of the federal government. I would love to see a lot of these ABC agencies lose major funding and have their staff reduced by 50%. I know, a dream, but one that makes me sleep well at night.

Reclassifying Policy Making Admins with Schedule F as eligible to be removed would be a massive swamp draining tool. There's 50k admins in the Fed Gov that can influence policy; if they influence policy, then an admin should be able to nix them if they're opposed to the boss' policy changes.

I agree but isn't it pleasant to see a politician admit "I was wrong"?

Never saw that from George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, John McCain, Bob Dole, or anybody. I'm tired of that.

I don't trust Trump entirely, I think he's a megalomaniac, but he's the least worst politician we've had as president in probably 30 years. If he's just garbage, that's a step up, what we normally have is radioactive toxic shit.

Yep, this is like when they have somebody file a lawsuit as "Jane Doe" asserting all kinds of horrible things, they alert the media, and the candidate is smeared.

Then they withdraw it before it gets to the first hearing, damage done.

The way the media pounced on it, you know it was a setup. DeSantis is based AF and has an actual track record of legislation, redistricting (he got the legislature to be TOUGHER), anti-woke, anti-Disney, etc.
