So I'm sitting here just trying to watch TV with my kid and discovery channel keeps advertising their grooming shows. Can someone explain to me how the fuck this isn't pedophilia or straight child abuse?????

How do we stop this shit?

I recommend...
1) Do not procreate at this point in history
2) If you already have children...
a) homeschool
b) throw away any and all electronic devices or lock them up if you need them for work
c) become religious. Go to church at least 2 times per week. This is very easy to do since
many churches have youth groups.
d) move to the country and keep your children busy with outdoor activities like gardening
e) only socialize with those who share your agenda of raising children to be Christian soldiers.

Radical? This is exactly how I was raised until I was in the 6th grade. I do not claim to be perfect but, looking back at my young childhood, I can clearly see how much my parents cared about what went into my brain. No, all people who follow this will not end up perfect or anywhere near perfect. In fact I know many people who grew up like this that went off the deep end of self destruction and even ruining many other lives. Free will, it what it's called. BUT,...

Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Can't delay procreation for a generation or so without ill effects and possible/probable extinction.

Have the Quiverfull mentality instead.

AND do not EVER leave your children with someone you do not 100% trust. Mother and mother in law only if possible. NEVER allow sleepovers unless religion affiliated camping trips that YOU are one of the chaperones.

You can write a letter to the the cable company and complain about Discovery.
You can write to Discovery and complain.
It won’t accomplish much but you can let them know what you think about it.
Maybe block certain channels.
I don’t have cable, I stream stuff on my Roku.
You can get Frndly TV to stream on the Roku.
I also watch Classic Reel for $3 per month.

I made some mistakes with my own children that I would never do again if I could go back in time. I would not allow sleepovers at my place or anyone else's place. I did take them out of cheerleading when they were in elementary school. The coaches had young girls doing dance moves that I was not comfortable with. No siree.

I watched my niece at statewide cheerleading competitions. These were Jr High girls that did some very athletic routines that were very coordinated and had stuff like tossing the smallest girl 15 feet or so in the air. There were never any "twerking" or similar sexy moves. I cannot see why any coach would do sexy routines like they did with your kids, unless the coaches were pedo or thought sexy moves were a substitute for athletic talent.
