Conservative Latina radio star Lourdes Ubieta has told George Soros to go pound sand and quit her job after the radical billionaire’s leftist group took over the station.
Ubieta left Radio Mambi, a stalwart conservative radio station, after a Soros-funded left-wing propaganda group bought it.
The Democrat-led media group is trying to challenge conservative dominance over talk radio in the Spanish-language market ahead of the midterm elections.
As Slay News has been reporting, the company, Latino Media Network (LMN), bought 18 major Spanish-language radio stations owned by the TelevisaUnivision network, including Miami’s leading conservative station Radio Mambí.
The new media company is funded by Soros, headed by Stephanie Valencia, a Latino outreach director for former President Barack Obama, and Democrat activist Jess Morales Rocketto.
They bought the stations for $60 million.
LMN is a startup in the media space and raised $80 million from “leading Latino investors” and Soros’ investment group, Lakestar Finance.
However, conservative radio stars are not about to switch sides to start promoting Democrats ahead of the midterms.
Ubieta is refusing to take orders from Soros’ team and moved to Americano Media, a SiriusXM radio network.
“What I believe is this is about control and about politics,” Ubieta said.
