First, the top 20% of men get 80% of the women.
What makes up the top 20% of men? It’s some combination of the following (3):
a.) physical looks
b.) finances/success
c,) audacity/energy/humor/personality/attention
Women lose it for great looking guys. They also lose it for rich guys. And if the guy is good looking and rich, those guys will have to fight them off with a stick. Most women have some standards and rules they adhere to. The better looking the guy and/or the richer the guy however, the more women will bend and relax those standards/rules. You ever hear a woman who is generally conservative and risk adverse say, “wow, I can’t believe I fucked that guy in Vegas, not sure what got into me”… ya, a good looking and/or rich guy who gave you a lot of attention got into you…
For the audacity/energy/humor part of it, these guys can also do well, but it’s not as instant as the other two above. It takes a bit more work.
Boy can it be rough for that bottom 80% of men who are competing for the remaining 20% of women however.
There was a period of my life (late 20s and early 30s) where I became single for the first time since college. I spent several months improving myself and getting into shape. I had a 6pack and a great tan. I was making decent money in Silicon Valley, never exceeding 40hr work weeks, and was very happy/confident. It was during this period where I would describe getting women’s attention and sex on a regular frequent basis to have been easy. I would say that I focused on the top 20% of women and would be successful with 4 out of 5 i asked out, which is a very high success rate. During most periods of my life outside of that, I wouldn’t dare describe it as easy.
My point: to get the women, you have to stand out among your peers. You have to make it evident that you are a top 20% guy, a high value guy, you will not get women consistently if you are in the bottom 80% of men, a shitty place to be if women/sex is what you are after.
One other side note I’ll mention, height. In general women tend to be ok with the 5’9 to 6’2 range. Below that it can get quite difficult as many women have a rule that they won’t date short men. And above that range, 6’3 and above, boy does it get easier. I have a couple buddies in the 6’4 - 6’5 range who have done ok in the female department while not having physical looks, finances, nor much confidence/audacity. Women get googly eyes for height and lose their remaining judgement filters… I’ve seen these guys get attention from women that a guy under 6ft tall would never ever get.

What they had was audacity. They overtly hit on women, making it perfectly clear what they were about. There's not that much to it. Women may say the opposite, but they really do like audacious men and are willing to sleep with them as long as they can claim it was not their own fault somehow.
Of course these days one needs to quietly keep good records of emails and texts proving it was all consensual, in case of dispute.
