This is what we're up against - a criminal organization that in the 1980's had enough cash from black ops to survive 10 YEARS without a single dime of external funding. That was almost 40 years ago. There is no reason to talk to the FIB at all today. They set people up, they entrap people. Gretchen Whitmer's "kidnappers" were all FIB. There is no reason whatsoever to talk to them, it doesn't help you in any way. Got no idea what it's about and probably never will. People have forgotten (or never knew) what the OLD Internet was like. It was a TRUE wild west. Anybody could say anything, nobody was taken too seriously, documents were constantly leaked, and we could talk to anybody on the planet. Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc interrupted that. People simply don't have a concept of the power they have available to them. Just a little toy computer is 100% adequate for 99.9% of the population. We have to decentralize.

I know Rust fans, and I'm sure they're right that it's a good language. But I myself am married to Javascript because I've invested so much time into it (both browser side and node.js) and because it is very high-performance.

I'd have to look it up, but you gave me the impression it's a tinker toy language versus a real one.

It's got some of its own problems (every language does!) but some strengths as well. It's less cumbersome to write in. It's aiming to be a replacement to lower level languages and it has better memory management than C/C++ (which are awful).

I'm still learning it. I'm curious about the ABI to C and C++. It compiles TERRIBLY slowly, but it has the concept of a makefile/cmake/etc built into it - that's Cargo. It tries to be extremely portable.

I think we're fast approaching the point that it really won't matter what OS you're working on, your code will run on top of it.

Rust's syntax is fucking last millennium crap while its concepts are interesting. It will likely be a niche language with that syntax which is in dire need of simplification

It’s almost better version of c++ without pointers fun, better memory management. Unless it’s a legacy project, rust should be a good choice for systems side.

99% of us programmers or the projects we're working on, will chug along just fine what ever language you're using.
It's all got to be better than any technology that you have to be tethered to the cloud, and your apps all run as a service, lose your internet then you're dead in the water.
It's just one of those things, where they make every minutia of programming details all about efficiency, speed and dependability. They worry about things, that most projects will never have to worry about. But then they throw so much on the cloud and just accept every pit fall, set back and downtime, as just one of those things, when dealing with the cloud.

I started out on 8 bit processors and that's not the problem.

Memory leaks are a long term problem for a service. I don't write crap to run "on the cloud", when I have to work on that, I'm working on developing "the cloud". The "cloud" is a glorified disk drive with a remote connection.

The push to "the cloud" is to get software as a service again, they are trying to force people back to using essentially mainframes, because this not only locks you into a solution which you have to pay for regularly, but it allows oversight on everything you're doing. My PHONE is a more powerful computer than the VAX/VMS Alpha system my University used - which 2,000 students could be using at the same time for work, email, messaging, homework, and even video games.

Your little toy piece of crap computer is MORE than enough for 99.999% of people, as long as you don't have memory leaks all over the place. We have protected memory now, optimizers have killed one of my skills (I used to do optimization with assembly - now a computer can do a better job than I ever could), the real work now is reducing the tedium. Ever write "Hello World" in Assembly? Still, COBOL is worse to work with.

Languages are TOOLS, you learn a few and the next few, is relatively easy to pick up. At first, you start confusing syntax in the languages, but over time, you stop doing this. There was a time that I thought C was the end all be all of languages. By then I reluctantly learned Perl and realized what, in some instances, would take me DAYS to do in C, took 20 minutes in Perl. C++ has way too much crap in it, but I wouldn't want to go back to C at this point. Strings ALONE make that an infinitely better language.

Different tools for different things, but they are just tools.

I figure everybody can have a server. Remember USENet? There's MULTIPLE versions of USENet now, but a raspberry pi can EASILY run USENet of 1995. I'm afraid video would have to be restricted.

Bit torrent solved the problem of sharing data widely.

That's where memory management is a huge concern, the semaphores and locks when the process is checking the queues, is very prone to memory leaks.
I once had to write a custom SMTP service that would canonicalize the header, and encrypt it with the Domain Key, for Whitelist email service.

That memory leak was the bane of that project. The problem was connecting to the DNS and other Network related Interop for related legacy DLLs.
After I rewrote those and created .net assemblies, the memory leak went away.

The locks on /var/mail/$USER are, I believed, defined in an RFC. Doesn't matter, I'll duplicate them anyhow. The advantage of using SMTP, is - 1 - VERY SIMPLE, second, you have a variety of programs to use it.

I don't intend to make this mail system compatible with standard mail though either. I believe that email at this point, as it's setup originally, is dead. With the system I'm trying to make - spam is impossible and spoofing is also impossible. I think that the reason there is "public email" is so that anything you write can be traced, it complete gets rid of privacy. It's also dumbfounding that after PGP was created back in the 1990's that encrypted email isn't the DEFAULT for communication.

I wear a tin foil hat (metaphorically) but at some level, as an engineer, I have to ask "why don't they do THIS obvious thing unless...". Every technology is a abused. I just have to accept that.

The problem was the process also did a DNS look up, to get the Domain.dnky entry, then use WMI to set one of the network cards on the server to the ip that represents that domain(Like Red Hot Cellular Deals.com or Cheap Insurance .com) so Yahoo and GMail wouldn't reject the email as spam from a server that does not match the domain the email is from. There was a lot going on each time the lock was invoked yeah a .net OS issue. Otherwise everything worked fine, the email had to match the domain during handshake and the header had to match the domain key or it would get rejected. If any of those processes timed out, the memory leak would rear it's head.

They caught me returning home from drinking, I wasn't in the mood to talk or honestly the shape - they identified themselves as the FIB, I told them I don't talk to the FBI. She asked "why", and I mumbled "corrupt". That was the extent of our verbal exchange.

I then opened my door, closed and locked it, heard them knock one more time, then wrote the message here - so this happened around 6:30pm, Monday. I went to bed shortly after. I just got back from a vacation and am still jet lagged and frankly, trying to keep it that way.

I would be absolutely lying if I didn't admit it freaked me out a bit, but I'm getting over it. I doubt it has anything to do with this site, they may have been looking for information on some other people probably. I have no faith in them even if they were investigating somebody that deserved it.

I also cannot express my contempt for the intelligence agencies at this point. These assholes allowed Epstein to run a child RAPE ring for YEARS. If they aren't a bunch of fucking pedophiles, they are enablers of them.
