I think the MAJORITY of the population doesn't think. If they did, they'll be aghast at how immoral and criminal our government is, and they don't.

Ukraine's entire military is going to be wiped out, slowly, and it's going to destroy the male population, and this is happening because the US overthrew Ukraine in 2014 inciting a civil war between East and West for 8 years before Russia went from being covertly involved to being directly involved. Merkel stated that the Minsk Accords were never intended to be implemented and were only signed to buy time for Ukraine to beef up their military against a conflict that the US wanted.

It's a genocide happening. Who speaks out against it? Who is even aware of it? Super easy to condemn genocides from 20, 50, 75, 100 years ago, but nobody will condemn the ones going on right fucking now. That a risk. You might get in trouble if you speak out against it!!!

It's estimated that 150,000 Ukrainians are dead in this conflict, but you can't trust reports on either side. If it is 150,000 - Ukraine's population is about 43 million. that's 2*150 / 43,000 = 0.7% of their male population. That's a quick calculation. That's across the ENTIRE population, I bet between 18 and 30, it's closer to 10% to 20%. And for what? War is just mass murder sanctioned by a government.

Russia isn't getting weaker as a result of this war, it's just realizing it needs to cut ties with enemy nations that simply will lie to them, won't work with them, and will stab them in the back. China and Russia are doing something they've not been able to do for 100's of years - work together. Even when they were both communist nations, they had a low level war, but not today. Aren't the Neocon asshole twats brilliant?

And the icing on the cake is the US is dependent on China for production of everything from underwear to washing machines today. What brilliant fucking assholes we have in charge!

Fred Rogers had quite an impact on me when I was young. I was fortunate to be born when I was.

I found Mr. Rogers to be creepy and weird before I was 5, but... whatever. I think the guy met well.

I watched him too, but usually found it kind of dull.

Still, it was kind of reassuring to have some gentle adult pointing out basic facts about life. Like the immutability of biological sex.
