Seriously, it's probably bullshit. They are trying to gear up fear and conflict with regard to Taiwan, and have been attempting to do this for YEARS. There's planes now that run off from solar power and can run 24 hours a day. They are tiny and basically undetectable. If China gave a crap about spying, they'd be using that. Solar cells now are paper thin.
