Putin Suspends New START Nuclear Treaty, Puts Nuclear Missiles On Combat Readiness

"President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday suspended Russian participation in the last remaining nuclear arms control treaty with the United States, warning Washington that Russia had put new ground-based strategic nuclear weapons on combat duty," Reuters reports of the new declaration.

Russia warns U.S., NATO: We consider F-16 deal for Ukraine a nuclear threat
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2023/jul/13/russia-says-f-16-deal-ukraine-amounts-nuclear-thre/

"Any deployment of U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine will be seen as a direct nuclear threat to Moscow because of their ability to carry atomic weapons," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Thursday.

“We have informed the nuclear powers, the United States, Britain and France, that Russia cannot ignore the ability of these aircraft to carry nuclear weapons. No amount of assurances will help here,” Mr. Lavrov said.

“We will regard the very fact that the Ukrainian armed forces have such systems as a threat from the West in the nuclear sphere,” he said.

But the old MiGs the Ukranians had could carry nuclear weapons, too.

"Fine example of incrementalism: Biden Authorizes Military to Call Reservists to Active Duty to Support Ukraine War"

Yesterday Biden told us that the USA run out of ammo and today he is calling "Reservists to Active Duty to Support Ukraine War?" So what are they going to use against the Russians? Rocks?
258   UkraineIsTotallyFucked   2023 Jul 14, 2:19pm

Then, around noon yesterday, Biden said there was “no possibility” that Russian President Vladimir Putin could win the war in Ukraine. Indeed, reassured Biden, Putin had “already lost.”

But then, a few hours after that, Biden issued an executive order mobilizing 3,000 additional U.S. reserve troops to Europe. "This [executive order] reaffirms the unwavering support and commitment to defend NATO's eastern flank in the wake of Russia's illegal and unprovoked war on Ukraine," said Army Lt. Gen. Douglas A. Sims II, Joint Staff Director of Operations.

But… why? Because, Sims said, "This new designation benefits troops and families with increases in authorities, entitlements, and access to the reserve component forces and personnel."

So, the US military is deploying more troops to Europe to… benefit troops and families? Not exactly. In fact, Biden’s order mobilized soldiers who had already completed their contract to serve and were on their way to becoming civilians.

As such, the deployment highlights that the situation is far more desperate than Biden was letting on. And indeed, later in the press release, the Pentagon confesses that “fighting is severe.”

Ukrainian Drone Attacks on Moscow Force Airport to Shut Down

(AP) — Russian authorities say three Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow in the early hours on Sunday, injuring one person and prompting a temporary closure for traffic of one of four airports around the Russian capital.

It was the fourth such attempt at a strike on the capital region this month and the third this week, fueling concerns about Moscow´s vulnerability to attacks as Russia’s war in Ukraine drags into its 18th month.

Medvedev Says Russia Could Use Nuclear Weapon If Ukraine Offensive Wins

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/medvedev-says-russia-could-use-nuclear-weapon-if-ukraine-offensive-wins

Senior Russian national security official Dmitry Medvedev has issued a dire nuclear warning and threat aimed at Ukraine and its Western backers (though certainly not for the first time).

He said in a Sunday Telegram post that Russia could be forced to mount nuclear attack if Ukraine's counteroffensive succeeds. In effect it is to say that if Ukraine "wins", nukes would be deployed. This would happen in the scenario of "part of our land being taken away," he said.

"Just imagine that the offensive… in tandem with NATO, succeeded and ended up with part of our land being taken away. Then we would have to use nuclear weapons by virtue of the stipulations of the Russian Presidential Decree," the former president and now deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council asserted, which is being widely cited in Western press reports.

... He added in the Telegram statement, "Nuclear powers do not lose major conflicts on which their fate depends." Such threats are perhaps why Washington has remained hesitant on supplying Ukraine forces with longer-range missiles, also at a moment President Zelensky is actively vowing to 'return' the war to Russia.

"“Imagine if the … offensive, which is backed by NATO, was a success and they tore off a part of our land then we would be forced to use a nuclear weapon,” he wrote."

He did not say anything new because according to Russian military doctrine, Russia will not fight another war on Russian soil and will respond with a nuclear attack.

Our "news" media lies, and lies, and lies, and lies and lies. I don't see why people pay any attention to it. It is worthless to cite "authoritative sources", and it's pointless. Show original sources, provide links to them, or it never happened.

I know what you're thinking "The XXX media organization wouldn't lie!" - sure they would. They ALL lie. The only people who can't lie without consequences are "independent media". When they fuck up, they are torn a new asshole. There's LOTS of people an independent sources I used to listen to, until they fucking lied to me.

I eliminated all corporate media from ANY consideration 15 years ago. The DAILY SHOW was the LAST bit of "real news" on television back in 2005. A comedy show. They climbed to fame by DEBUNKING Fox News and Iraq War propaganda. They've been coasting ever since.

I am tired of checking sources, when people can just fucking post them. Nobody should believe anything unless proof is provided at this point.

Russia Deploys Intercontinental Ballistic Missile for ‘Combat Duty’

MOSCOW (AP) – The head of Russia’s Roscosmos space agency said Friday that the country has deployed an advanced intercontinental ballistic missile that President Vladimir Putin once said will make Russia’s enemies “think twice.”

Agency head Yuri Borisov said Sarmat missiles have been placed on combat duty, according to Russian news agencies. Further details were not reported.

The Sarmat is one of several advanced weapons whose development Putin announced in 2018. The silo-based missile, capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads, is intended to replace the R-36 ICBMs that are known by the NATO reporting name of Satan.

The Sarmat reportedly has a short initial launch phase, allowing little time for surveillance systems to track it.

In 2022, about two months after sending troops into Ukraine, Putin said the Sarmat would “reliably ensure the security of Russia from external threats and make those who, in the heat of aggressive rhetoric, try to threaten our country, think twice.”

Blinken OKs Attacks On Russia With US Missiles

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at the start of this week that it was up to Ukraine whether or not to target Russian territory with US-provided weapons, a policy that brings the US and Russia closer to a direct clash.

Blinken made the comments after ABC News reported that it’s likely the Biden administration will soon arm Ukraine with Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), which have a range of up to 190 miles.

Why is Ukraine worth the risk of starting WW III?

Warmonger Neo-Con Mike Pence Says U.S. Military May Have to Fight if Ukraine Loses War to Russia

“I’m convinced that if the Ukrainian military doesn’t stop and repel that Russian invasion, it’s not going to be too long before that Russian army crosses a border that our men and women in uniform are going to have to go and fight (for) under our NATO Treaty. I truly believe it,” Pence said.

However, according to NATO, “Ukraine is not a NATO member. Ukraine is a NATO partner country, which means that it cooperates closely with NATO but it is not covered by the security guarantee in the Alliance’s founding treaty.”

Pence argues that providing aid to Ukraine is in America’s interest for “peace and security in the world.”

A bunch of the Jewish mafia that is giving kickbacks to US representatives (like Burisma, and Hunter Biden) want to continue exploiting the country and have gambled that that they can use this war to collapse Russia, and take them over. A gamble I think they will lose.

If the war is successful, they can go back to exploiting Russia in the same way. Putin saw this and put and end to it in 2000, Boris Yeltsin was a drunk and a moron, he had no clue what was going on, and he didn't care. When Putin cracked down on the corruption (and there's plenty still), that became a problem for the mafia, who is directly involved with bribing US representatives.

IF you really want to know the truth. This is nothing more than an attempt for a mafia to seize control of resources of Russia and they were betting the resources they had in Ukraine against it, and leveraging the people they controlled in Washington to do it.

And it is a mafia, it just happens to be Jewish. NOT all Jews are involved in this, of course. This is a mafia turf war which is more widely understood as a proxy war. The US as a nation has no interest in Ukraine, but the "donor class" does.

The U.S. Army War College* has released a brief overview of "Lessons from the War in Ukraine".

In particular, it has a forecast of US casualties and mobilization reserves in a conflict of this level.

Thesis:
- military doctors project a [KIA and WIA] casualty rate for the US Armed Forces of 3,600\day.
- The combat replenishment rate is 25% or 800 troops per day.
- In 20 years of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. has lost about 50,000 people.
In a conflict of the Ukrainian level, the U.S. would suffer such losses in 2 weeks.
- The recruitment shortage is a major problem.
- every soldier not recruited today is a strategic mobility asset [IRR or reservists] that the US will not have in 2031**
- IRR was 700K in 1973, 450K in 1994, now at 76K.
- These numbers will not make up for the projected losses.

The better question is what is in Russia's interests at this point to continue to send men and material into a meat grinder other than to save Putin's hide?

As an American, I don't want one our largest geopolitical adversaries "win" in Ukraine as it will give the US MIC more excuses to spend Trillions on defense and Ukraine will be a festering wound in Europe for the rest of our lives possibly requiring the US to send more troops to Europe to beef up existing NATO members.

Could Ukraine Turn Into a Nuclear World War III That Kills Billions of People?

For the first time since the days of the Soviet Union, Russia has now moved tactical nuclear weapons beyond its borders into Belarus, a move which further suggests Putin may in fact be inclined to use them.

...powerful tactical nuclear weapons are now “arriving” in Belarus, a provocative and changing dynamic that highlights Russia’s well-known “escalate-to-win” strategy.

Russia has long had an arsenal of tactical nuclear weapons and is perceived as being willing to aggressively threaten, posture, and intimidate rivals by adding high numbers of heavy and low-yield nuclear weapons.

Some of the atomic bombs delivered to Belarus were three times more powerful than the atomic bombs the U.S. dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, according to a story in Reuters. The Reuters article also cited ominous warnings from President Biden on Russia’s resolve to use nuclear weapons, saying “It's real.”

Russia’s “escalate to win” strategy was cited as part of the Pentagon’s rationale for adding lower-yield, tactical nuclear weapons to the U.S. arsenal. While some express concern that the addition of low-yield nuclear weapons to the U.S. arsenal could “lower the threshold” to nuclear war and encourage thinking that there may be a possibility for a “winnable” nuclear weapons exchange.

More stagflation, ever increasing energy bills & food prices ...

Again, what are America's national security interests in Ukraine?

Milley & Stoltenberg Agree: 'We Must Prepare Ourselves For A Long War In Ukraine'

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview published Sunday by Germany's Funke Media Group said the alliance is committed to seeing military support to Kiev through, and that this is the only way to achieve peace. "Most wars last longer than expected when they first begin. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves for a long war in Ukraine," he said, and added: "We must recognize that if Zelensky and the Ukrainians stop fighting, their country will no longer exist. If President Putin and Russia stop fighting, we will have peace."

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/milley-stoltenberg-agree-we-must-prepare-ourselves-long-war-ukraine

Interpretation: Putin will not pull out of Ukraine, and they know it. Hence, the war will continue for years to come and the Military Industrial Financial Complex will continue to make money off of the war that they created.

Until Russia bankrupted and embarrassed themselves to the whole world with their blundering invasion of Ukraine, Russia was one of America's chief adversaries in terms of energy and military sales. Russia had Europe over a barrel (literally) impacting Europe's foreign and economic policy that impacted the US economy and alliances. Russia has been keen on knocking the US Dollar off as the global reserve currency through BRIC. Russia (until recently) was only too happy to align themselves with OPEC to raise the price of energy that also hurt the average American.

I am not saying I would advocate America going to war with Russia over these issues. But I certainly have no problem sending Ukraine weapons to defend themselves and reduce the size and scope of Russia's military.

Russia may not be the same enemy as the USSR, but they have never been an ally.
281   AmericanKulak   2023 Sep 19, 11:38am

Russia would make an amazing friend.

Between the US and Russia, we'd control a ridiculous amount of the world's landmass, oil reserves, mineral resources. Not to mention almost all the world's nuclear weapons.

We could fence in China, have a 120M market for US Goods, and have half a billion people.

Tankers coming from Vladivostok have a much safer, shorter trip than from the Straits of Hormuz. We could disengage with the world's tinderbox in the Middle East and save $100B/year easily on aid, military presence, etc. there.

Throw in Canada, Aus, UK, NZ and it would be a powerhouse the EU and China couldn't effectively rival.

Russian Tsars were helpful to the USA throughout the 19th Century and before, from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War and beyond.

Whereas all Central Europe has done is sink our merchant ships and commit sabotage against us when we were neutral, involve us in two world wars, and slap massive tariffs on us just after the Marshall Plan completed.

So you mean, that because the United States can't compete in an open and free market, they are directly attacking their competitor - like if AMD were to plant bombs in Intel's manufacturing plants? You know, like when the US blew up the Nordstream pipeline.

SOMETHING like that?

I have pointed out that the United States is run by a criminal syndicate and has endless propaganda from "news" to support it. Since the US won't compete in a free market system, they produce propaganda for fucking war, to murder their competition?

That's how they are an adversary.

What's so great about this system is that the entire fucking nation is made to pay for it. If Exxon or Shell wants to blow up the fucking Nordstream, well, they shouldn't, and if they want to arm Ukraine for a HOPELESS, again they shouldn't, but at least they'd be fucking paying for it instead of everybody else.

It's just going to destroy Ukraine. It will however make Europe dependent on US energy. It will kill probably several hundred thousand Ukrainians, and a few 10's of thousands of Russians, and might destroy Ukraine as a viable country forever - but there's profit to be made...

Clinton was no different that George W. Bush or Barack Obama or Joe Biden.

He was a puppet.

Isn't it obvious by now that the president is just a puppet? The reason a black man with a Muslim sounding name was elected president, was ONLY because he promised to reverse George W. Bush's foreign policy but he accelerated it instead.

TRUMP reversed this foreign policy. He attempted to end the Syrian war and end the Afghanistan war, and improve relations with Russia, even end the North Korean and South Korean war which is still there. Why do you think there was such a panic, so much slander, and libel, to remove him?

The al-Shifa pharmaceutical plant was blown up primarily to distract from the fact that Monica Lewinsky submitted her dress as evidence of their sexual affair. She presented it on August 20, 1998.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/stories/mltestimony.htm

You can find her testimony there, there were two sessions, and in the second session she proved she had an affair with Clinton

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Shifa_pharmaceutical_factory

And there you will find the date Clinton blew up the plant. Same date. Coincidence? The al-Shifa pharmaceutical plant wasn't making any weapons precursors, in fact, Sudan sued the US for the destruction, and won, the US won't pay.

I am not exaggerating when I say a criminal syndicate of sociopaths are in power. The only reason Clinton bombed the al-Shifa pharmaceutical plant, was to distract from Lewinsky's testimony. He murdered 1 employee and injured 11 in that attack, but the lack of the one plant that made anti-malarial drugs is estimated to have killed 50,000 people - all to distract from the fact that Kliton ejaculated on a dress of a woman who was slightly older than his own daughter. Think he might be a maniac?

This is not a democrat/republican problem. The Democrat versus Republican "disagreements" are nothing but distraction. They don't care about transgender rights for example, but it's a way to get the population arguing with one another. They don't care about homosexuality, abortion, pedophilia, racial relations - none of that. They want to use the resources of the US military and have the US taxpayer pay for war. They don't want an argument about that, certainly. You can argue about trivialities of which they have no stake in the outcome.

Just co-operate. Allow US business to do business in Russia, and Russian businesses to do business in the US. Make trade agreements, maybe even agreements in monopoly power of energy.

Outsource manufacturing to Russia, with US labor skills, and technical knowledge. Elimination of the Russian mafia, and infiltration into it. No skirmishes with Syria or Iran, come to agreement with each, cut out Israeli influence.

The United States claimed they wanted to eliminate terrorists in Syria, so Russia blew up a convoy of trucks shipping oil from Syria to Turkey. The US was lying of course. Just be honest, come to mutual consensus, for mutual benefit.

The US follows the broken window hypothesis - break a window, and you create all these stupid jobs to repair it. We're more like the USSR today than the USSR ever was. Our government constantly breaks windows, increases debt, then blames some foreign adversary for the result. The window is never fixed.

Stop thinking that the US has any standards. Julian Assange is going to die in prison. We don't have a free press, although we should have. Russia has a more free press than we do at this point, and I never imagined myself saying this 35 years ago.

Just stop the stupid endless conflicts, it's wasteful. There is no point in war, really, it's a zero sum game. IF the US allied itself with Russia, ACTUALLY helped them to eliminate corruption, and maybe pulled Europe in, what kind of world would we live in? China would be the last major communist power.

Being ruthless, working with Russia would allow us to dominate (in part) European energy, and we could put them under our thumb. A mutual agreement with Russia would also be able to put India and China under our thumb. If our nation didn't allow a bunch of assholes to piss off Russia in the 1990's, we'd be pretty much under a one world government now, kind of - there would still be national interests.

BUT INSTEAD: we have a bunch of asshole NEOCON TWATS, that only want to create war. Russia had their Neocons as well, and kicked them to the fucking curb. That's the root of the conflict. Haven't you noticed the William Kristol, the asshole "Republican" that was a undying defender of the Iraq war in 2005 is now a Democrat? He has no principles, he just wants to induce conflict, unendingly. There's a ton of them. All they seem to want to do, is cause conflict. They are insane.

Let me guess - the Joooooos???

Thought Russia was going after Nazis in Ukraine?

Ever heard of the book 200 Years Together by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn? For some reason no publisher dares to translate it from Russian to English, but with the Internet, people are doing it anyhow.

What was Karl Marx's religion, or ethnicity?

Whose pushing all this LGBTQ bullshit on society? What's Yoel Roth's ethnicity? What is the ethnicity and/or religion of, say, the Rothschilds?

I'm old enough to look at it as it is. I just view it as a subset of a subset which is a mafia, a criminal ethnic syndicate.

There's a lot of myth around the Nazis and powerful Jews and WWII. You know who Fritz Haber is? He was a very important person that made the Haber process - this is ammonium nitrate, the fertilizer that runs our modern world, without it, we'd never have gotten to this population level. He also created Zyklon B, he was also Jewish, a fanatical German patriot to such an extent that his wife committed suicide because she thought what he was doing was 'evil' - or so it's said, maybe she was just an unhappy wife.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_Haber

Stop thinking in the way I did when I was 20.

Also Zyklon B was a pesticide, based on cyanide. Haber also worked on mustard gas. Not a guy to F around with. He was absolutely loyal to Germany, right through WWII. HOW COULD THAT BE????

Also, I want to underscore the importance of ammonium nitrate. Haber is one of the most important geniuses of all history. We all live based on his work. ALL of us do but his work also killed a LOT OF MEN in World War I and II. Brilliant man. I consider him one of the most important people of the 20th century. His connection to Nazi Germany unfortunately makes him forgotten. He was more important than Einstein or Fermi. His work made modernity possible.

WW3 Ahead? Russian Media Reports Killing German Soldiers, Destroying American Vehicles

Russian state media has issued a number of alarming reports in the last twenty-four hours suggesting that the proxy conflict between NATO and Russia over Ukraine is becoming increasingly direct.

A Russian armed forces commander operating in the Zaporizhzhya direction told RIA Novosti that a Russian crew destroyed a Leopard tank that was transferred to Ukraine. It was reportedly manned by members of the German Armed Forces.

Putin Warns That When Russia Nukes America “There Is No Chance of Survival” and “There Will Be No Single Enemy Left”

President Vladimir Putin has threatened the West with total nuclear destruction leaving ‘no chance of survival’ in the event of a strike on Russia.

In a ranting anti-US speech, the dictator said his powerful ‘Satan-2’ and ‘Flying Chernobyl’ missiles are ready for deployment in an ominous doomsday warning.

Putin told a conference in Sochi: ‘From the moment the launch of missiles is detected, no matter where it comes from – from any point of the world ocean or from any territory – such a number, so many hundreds of our missiles appear in the air in a retaliatory strike that there is no chance of survival there will be no single enemy left, and in several directions at once.’
And now the Sarmat is ready. It is the most advanced intercontinental missile in the entire world by a very wide margin, and Putin says that the Sarmat will be put on combat duty “in the near future”…

He also claimed: ‘We have actually finished work on Sarmat [Satan-2] on the super-heavy missile…’

This ‘unstoppable’ 15,880mph Armageddon intercontinental missile system is the size of a 14-storey tower block.

‘We just need to finish some of the procedures in a purely administrative and bureaucratic way and move on to mass production and putting them on combat duty,’ Putin said.

‘And we will do this in the near future.’

Meanwhile, hopelessly outdated Minuteman missiles that went into service in the 1970s still form the backbone of our strategic nuclear arsenal.

Oh come on, I followed it to this:

And this just cracked me up:

"Flying Chernobyl"? Well, if Russia fires those at us, we'll retaliate with our 3 Mile Island missiles, and then give them some Love Canal missiles for good measure!!

Why do people actually even pay attention to "the Daily Mail" anyhow?
