Anything in a war zone either ignore or take with a very tiny grain of salt. It's irrelevant what is reported. Not only is the success on either side drastically over-stated, so is any defeat. Remember, the US had "all but won the war in Afghanistan", in 2012 to the point the "news" media didn't even bother to report on it. No reports in our "news" media about how the wars in Yemen and Somalia are going, most Americans don't even know we're bombing them.

I, suspect, that Ukraine is losing this war, that it's destroying their population, and that it was the UK and the US that did recent attacks on the Russian navy, but who knows? The navy is obsolete and not really involved in this war, so it's a propaganda move. I SUSPECT that, I'll only find out what is going on now, years from now. I expect Ukraine's people to be forced to fight to the death, and then for "mercenaries" from the EU and US to enter, and for them to be killed as well. I expect this conflict to last years. The earliest I expect it to end is 2 years from now, at minimum. Russia only needs to defend. They aren't invading any areas that don't welcome them - YET. The Donbass wanted to join Russia, Russia refused, Donbass declared independence, they've gone through 8 years of civil war before Russia entered, Russia has allowed them to "officially join Russia" under referendum - or at least that's the story. Who knows?

Here is a question, what is "General Major Tevor Cadieu" doing in Ukraine right now? He's Canadian! He's a merc. Murderer for hire, a hitman. Who in the media will point that out? For all I know he's not even there. I suspect that Malcolm Nance never even went, just a small rating boost to MSNBC.

I'm used to disinformation and propaganda from BOTH sides, especially my side. Actual Russian propaganda doesn't reach the US very often. Propaganda is used to motivate the local population, or at least get them to accept whatever stupid fucking thing the government is doing.

My main complaint isn't that US propaganda exists today, my main complaint is that's it's so fucking incompetent and stupid. It's mind-numbingly stupid to the literal point that when people told me they believed it, I thought they were being ironic or sarcastic. It's insulting to me, and it's appalling to me that "people" around me believe it. For a long time, I was in denial, I thought these were people, but they are literally unable or unwilling to think and will believe and repeat the most ridiculous bullshit that doesn't pass the sniff test of a sewer tank. They can't smell shit. Our media has stopped reporting on it, because it's a failure, an easy to see failure before it even began. 300,000 dead in a nation of 25 million or so, 9 million left the country - mostly men. I cannot see that nation recovering. A horrible tragedy. The same outcome would have resulted with no war, and 300,000 alive. It's tragic.

Our media determines what you think about, and I don't consume it. It doesn't inform you, it makes you mad. You won't believe me though. I can go to the other side and be a liar and to control you, but I do have a moral boundary. I will die first. It's so easy to be a propagandist, but it will kill any soul I might have. It's a moral duty to fight against lies. I am compelled to fight against it - even in a hopeless war, it's a duty.

I want to know when I'm wrong. I know I can be wrong, but what disturbs me is when I get pushback without explanation. I can't improve unless I understand how I've fucked up, and I know I can fuck up and do.

I'm on a fucking ledge and rarely does anybody tell my why to step back. That's all I want. I can't see how I'm wrong, I'm told I'm wrong, but with no reasoning. Nobody explains my error which leads me to believe I'm not in error. This abstracts me from most people, and it's really excruciating, and by that I really mean this is emotionally and intellectually painful for me. I really really want people to explain my errors, if I'm in error, or to agree with me, if I'm not. I just get the middle ground - ignored.

Telling me I'm incorrect just makes me search for how I am possibly wrong, and that's a vast space of searching. Just point me to a star.
