This thread is first of all an acknowledgement of future history. Namely, that Jesus promised in His word to return again to rescue the redeemed Christians (dead and living) from this world before the judgement/great tribulation period.

Second, this thread will be left behind as a witness to those who are not rescued before the rapture. One day millions of people will disappear from this earth. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, your spouse, children, bus driver, co-worker, or that person you thought was a Jesus freak will all be gone. And in that moment of fear, loss and confusion there will still be a voice of reason. That voice could be the sermon you heard but ignored. It could be the memory of a friend or family member who prayed and witnessed for you. It could be a Bible or a video of the gospel. But that voice will be there (and here hopefully) to remind you that everything God said has and will happen just as He said it would.

So if one day millions of people disappear all around the world, remember that God said it was going to happen and turn to Him with all your heart knowing that you were wrong and accept His gift of forgiveness. And then study the scriptures, ask Him to reveal to you what you could have known years ago if you had taken the opportunity to listen. And He will show you what to do.

Or better yet, if you are reading this before the rapture, congratulations there is still time to escape the wrath to come. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2

Every generation thinks they are the last generation.

Make no mistake, if the rapture happens today, we are not the last generation. There will be at least 1007 years after the rapture before the end of this world.

OH BS.

You're afraid of your own demise you'd prefer not to die and are hoping for the end of the world to avoid it.

I'll be there in time myself. We're all doomed to die.
84   PeopleUnited   2023 Aug 10, 9:04pm

Stop projecting. When I die, I’m going to a better place. Honestly I’m ready. This world has nothing to offer me anyway. I’m only sticking around because God wants me here on this planet for at least a little longer. But I’m looking forward to going home. This planet may have my body, but it is not the home of my soul.

I envy your ability to have faith. I've told you that many times.

I also have no fear of death, but I have no faith in "god". We make this world what we make it, we put up with what put up with. I'm disgusted with what these "people" around me put up with. I never had any faith in god, but now, I no longer have faith in people. If our "authorities" said that Jewish people were spreading disease and had to be confined in concentration camps, it would have fucking happened. These "people" I live among are so fucking stupid. I had no idea how stupid they were. I can't trust their ability to reason or think.

I can trust an animal though. They are totally logical. You treat them well, they will treat you well. These things I have to live among? No so much.

That’s the thing. And it’s important to remember that you are just like them. No matter how much you protest, or assert superiority, you and I are at times both illogical and unreasonable. The louder you protest that fact, the more true it becomes. It’s just more evidence that we need a savior to rescue us from our own selves.

I can trust an animal though. They are totally logical.

Animals have misunderstandings all the time just like people. I ran into a cane Corso owner out with his pet (in full service dog garb) the other day. He told me the dog grew up on his farm thinking it was just one of the farm animals. She was a mother herself. She recently walked into the pigpen like she always does but this time the sow thought she was a threat and bit the Corso on the head. The Corso retaliated biting off the leg of the sow who did not survive. That was a misunderstanding that ended in death. Humans, animals, we all have them all the time. Don’t pretend animals are logical or more trustworthy, misunderstandings and difficult choices happen all the time. When forced, most people will do just about anything to save themselves or their loved ones, even if it means hurting others, just like that Corso.

If you are left behind you might need your seatbelt because a bunch of cars with raptured believers will turn into driverless machines. But if you are a believer, it’s likely that even your clothes will be left behind. Imagine the chaos when millions of piles of clothes just fall to the ground off the backs of raptured believers. Pilots of planes gone, surgical assistants in the middle of surgery, gone. A crane operator, gone. Thousands of car drivers on the road, gone. Whole classrooms full of kids, gone. Every single baby, gone. It will be like nothing this world has ever seen. When people do see it, will they repent and turn to God? I hope so! Jesus saves. Anyone else is just an antiChrist.

I am entirely aware of my fallibility, so I'm on guard for it, and I know I make mistakes, so accept it when I do, but this is a rarity. I'm only better in that I recognize I can fuck up, most people people around me will never accept they make mistakes. That my superiority, in recognizing my fallibility.

Because I can accept my errors and mistakes, I can stop repeating them. I live in an area of so many eggheads, they will never accept they made an error. I'm an engineer, I'm constantly being held to the fire in my errors, and I have made plenty of them, but I learn from it, so many people don't.

PeopleUnited says

The Corso retaliated biting off the leg of the sow who did not survive.

A corso did that? That's, um, amazing. I could take on a corso, but not a sow. In a fight to the death with a cane corso and a sow, I'm pretty certain I could take out the dog, and I don't think I could win against the pig.

PeopleUnited says

Don’t pretend animals are logical or more trustworthy,

HAHAHA - animals are absolutely more trustworthy, without question, no doubt.

And they are entirely logical. The situation you described was based on the animal's experience. It acted entirely logically. The sow lacked knowledge, so she attacked it. It was an intruder, and wolves, generally kill animals.

Completely logical. I love the logic of animals, because you can see it and understand it.

If you ever come across me, and you have a dog that is afraid of me, barking at me, doesn't trust me? Trust your dog. I'm absolutely not a threat, I guarantee that, but trust you dog. The ONLY time my dog showed aggression to a stranger, he was out of his mind, insane. Kelsey saw this before I did. I brought Kelsey home, and went back to the store, and it was obvious the man was out of his mind. Kelsey saw it immediately, I didn't.

Trust your dog, even when your dog might be wrong. Don't worry about offending the person, they'll get over it. Kelsey only once showed distrust, and when he did, he was absolutely right. I've had dogs distrust me, and I'm not offended. The owners have apologized to me, and I just tell them "trust your dog". I'd rather there be a false positive than a false negative.

Dogs read people better than people read people. They can be overly suspicious, but if you have a dog and it detects me as a threat, or anybody, trust your dog's instincts, they are better than yours. This might only apply to large dogs. Small dogs have growled and threatened me. On the RARE occasion I can get the owner to release the dog to actually go after me, bite me if they want, after explaining I've done dog rescue, and I will absolutely won't retaliate in any way if I'm bitten, the dog realizes I'm not a threat. This is "small dog syndrome". Many little dogs are fierce, as long as they aren't given the ability to actually go after you. They are just basically "talking shit", let go of that leash and suddenly all their bravado is gone.
91   PeopleUnited   2023 Oct 13, 3:49am

Some people prove through their comments to be either self deceived or deliberately deceptive. I recommend all people to ignore the deceived and deceivers at all costs.

For example a cane corso has bite pressure of 700 psi. They stand 24-27 inches high and are 88-110 lbs of nearly pure muscle, their ancestors were bred by Roman legionnaires as attack dogs for the battlefield. To their owner they are an asset. But to anyone else they are a threat, basically the sow I mentioned above is dead because it was a mistake to attack the corso. But the corso also showed no restraint. It is an animal. I would not want to cross a corso or a corso owner. It can bite my foot off just as quick as that sows leg. So that is just one of many reasons how I know certain people are full of lies. Don’t waste your time with lies.

I did dog rescue for a long time, I used to foster for some of the most fucked up animals you can imagine, and my job was to regain trust with them. I lied to them and protected them, when they were with me, only good people were allowed to interact with them. My job was to show them the world was great, even though it's not. I purposely deceived them because I protected them.

I've had some violent animals and I don't think any dog could take me out. No dog can bite your foot actually off, it would require chewing, but I had a wolf, and I knew that animal could break a bone. I got stuck with Shiloh as a "Samoyed mix", full arctic wolf. Not a bad animal, but don't own a wolf. They want to be by your side constantly, they can't be left alone, a dog is like a child, a wolf is like a roomate. They aren't dogs.

Never been afraid of any dog, I can handle that, but a pig or a steer, a horse - I know those can kill me, and I would be helpless to prevent it. I can kill any dog, or any wolf really with my bare hands. Not that I want to, but no dog can take me out, a pig? How would I kill it? I can choke out any dog, break its neck, but not a pig. Certainly not a horse or a cow, or a pig.

I guess it's rock / paper / scissors. Maybe a dog can take out a pig, although I can't, but I can't, even though I can take out any dog. I might get messed up in a fight, but there's no way I'd lose. I can't be disabled by pain in a fight, I can only be disabled physically. I was the sucker of my rescue group, I had some very violent animals, every one of them was terrified of people because they had a bad owner, except one - she was crazy and I had to put her down as a result. That was my last rescue, as I failed. I couldn't fix her.

The war in Israel could indicate that God will only allow them 10 more years to repent before he returns to set up the new millennial kingdom here on earth. (Note: Jesus’ second coming is NOT the end of the world, rather it is the start of a new chapter in which Jesus rules as king on earth for 1000 years together with the help of all believers from all of history who will by then be all resurrected just like Jesus was)

We could go on, but the reality is that as each day goes by we come closer and closer to Christ’s return. If you can’t see that now, you will soon. Hopefully you see it and act on it before it is too late. Many of you grew up knowing the scriptures, and you did not keep them and live by them.

The good news is there is still time to Repent

2 Timothy chapter 3:

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Scientists dig out a pliosaur that was rapidly buried leading to fossilization of the intact sea monster. Evidence of a flood that buried other things rapidly around the world as well.

Even the God hating scientists know that it was a rapid cataclysmic event (such as a worldwide flood) that buried and preserved this giant beast. note, it was buried above sea level.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/12/11/world/skull-pliosaur-fossil-documentary-intl-scli-scn/index.html

From the article. “It’s a “freak of nature” that this fossil remains in such good condition, Etches added. “It died in the right environment, there was a lot of sedimentation … so when it died and went down to the seafloor, it got buried quite quickly.”

This find is mentioned here in the rapture thread because it is further evidence that what God said is true. There was a worldwide flood several thousand years ago, and there will be a rapture in the near future just as the Bible says it was and will be.

This one belongs here. The agenda proceeds and is only hindered by the remnants of believers who provide reason and hope to a world needing both. But when the Christians are raptured, there will be almost no restraint to the evil that will overtake the creatures that rejected their creator. Are you ready for the rapture, or are you ready for the tribulation? Both are headed towards us with certain immanence. What ye therefore lest that day meet you unawares.

I never saw the original Left Behind movie starring Kirk Cameron, nor did I read any of those old future fiction novels which I’m sure are a bit dated by now in a world of Covid lies, climate crisis, lies, fake elections, AI, renewed wars and rumors of war all over the earth... but I did see the newest Left Behind movie directed by Kevin Sorbo of Hercules Legendary Journeys fame.

It’s actually really interesting how they portrayed certain aspects of the future saga in fictionalized manner of course. One of the most vivid scenes is of a woman digging up the grave of her grandmother who died as a Christian in 2017. She was digging up her grave to verify if this scripture was true. “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
https://www.bible.com/1/1th.4.16-17.kjv

I’ve never thought about the chaos that will happen after the rapture, but obviously some believe that people will resort to digging up the graves of Christians who died in years past to verify that God raised them up!

Are you ready for the rapture?

I think you can watch the new Left Behind movie for free on some of those streaming services. Enjoy!!

There's a lot of retconning going on in "Popular Science History".

Materialists mostly had to be dragged kicking and screaming from the Steady State Universe - took decades of Cosmic Background, Doppler Shift, etc. evidence to move the paradigm to Big Bang. Einstein himself was pushed grudgingly from materialism to light Deism over his life. Hoyle took a lifetime to shift as well. In fact, "Big Bang" was a derogatory term pushed by Hoyle, who was one of the last holdouts for Steady State

The Steady State Universe absolves materialists of origin questions: "Well, the universe always has been and will be. Is just always was"

Big Bang is an enormous problem for materialists.

1. If there were sufficient and necessary causes beyond the Universe, it would have triggered immediately so the Universe would be infinitely ancient and we wouldn't be here to ponder it due to Heat Death happening in the infinite past.

2. If the creation of the Universe happened at a finite time, only an actor's intervention could have held it back and/or caused it at a specific time.

3. A SupRAnatural cause violates Materialistic principles.

4. Exotic origin theories like Bubbleverses and such are complete ex rectum ideas without a lick of evidence or reasonable inference.

If we see volcanism, erosion by wind and water, etc. today, materialism assumes it also happened in the past.

Ah, look at this layer of dust! It must be from a volcanic eruption as it resembles the same dust layers we see appear near active eruptions!

If we see a complex code today... materialists assume there was no coder

Aha! A specific set of instructions that produce certain outcomes. We only see that with writing, programs, etc. Can't be a code!

Data Science is ripping DNA evolutionary theory to shreds. Changing pieces of code at random is far far far far more likely to error and rubbish than utility. And erroneous, rubbish code doesn't get copied much.

Life is NOT designed like a "complex code". It's assembled by a bunch of parts and almost randomly. We aren't an Alpha Romeo Spider, we're an escape vehicle made from parts stolen all over from a prison to make something that can drive for a few miles.

AmericanKulak says

Most of our DNA is garbage DNA. In life, you see the same pattern repeated over and over again, dolphins have 5 fingers, so do horses, but you only see the single toe.

And when it does, it's called cancer. We have telomeres at the end of our chromosomes, when they become too short, duplication of a cell is supposed to become impossible.

I agree. It's an evil policy. But is it a sign of perilous times that a DR. recommends suicide to a patient? Incidentally, there is a legislative movement going on right now to make this illegal.

The entire church age has been fraught with 'perilous times.' In fact, just off the top of my head; up until the Roman Emperor Constantine (4th. Century), who melded some of Christianity with Roman paganism, Christians were fed to the lions and fought to the death with gladiators for the entertainment for the Romans. The world also had incredibly perilous times throughout the Dark Ages, where law and order vanished and disease was rampant, while literally wiping our over two thirds of the population of Europe through violence and plagues. For over 600 years, the RCC carried out their European Inquisition, whereby, Catholic Monarchs were used to torture and murder Christians that didn't bow their knee to the Papacy. In modern times, WW I saw death on a massive scale, claiming over 20 million deaths in Europe, with WW II, that rose to over 55 million. International Communism, murdered over 100 million innocent people .... I could go on, but I'll stop. We aren't even close to the "perilous times" that those aforementioned victims went through.

I would argue that the Covid 19 lies and deaths associated with the man made virus and the man made catastrophe of the response to the virus (whose effects we are still feeling) are on par with, if not exceeding the things you mentioned. It is like birth pangs, they vary in intensity but they become more frequent as the time approaches. Dr’s killing babies, killing patients (assisted suicide, ventilators, wrong use of medication, untested vaxx), governments freeing violent criminals and leaving borders wide open, these are all perilous. I agree that it is going to get worse but I don’t know anything more perilous than a doctor that kills.

It’s like a pastor that condemns you to hell or a pilot that crashes your plane on purpose. When you live in a day and age where the people who are tasked with helping you are deliberately destroying you, it is the epitome of perilous times.

Really? Under the leadership of China's Communist dictator Chairman Mao Zedong, about 60 MILLION of his fellow countrymen, many of whom looked into a ditch that would soon be a mass grave and were shot in the back of the head. I think they'd probably have a different opinion of "perilous times" than yours.

Mao killed his own people. The globalists who created the virus (and no doubt have many more in the works) were able to kill people in probably every single nation around the world, and they even managed to make it illegal to go to church in “free countries “. Now doctors are not only pushing unsafe and ineffective vaxx they are literally recommending suicide as treatment for mental health patients, Yep perilous times. But it will get worse. You can bank on it.
