Another low of these times are surely the insane and inane waivers you have to sign so your kid can do normal kids activities, such as jumping up and down in a gym, on a rebounder etc. where has this society gone wrong lol? There should be no suing allowed for anything unless there is a clear malfunction in the device used. This law would be exactly one line and would make countless of dumb waivers unnecessary. Fucking lowest denominator ambulance chaser society. but take that maiming clot shot it's safe and effective lol
My nephew broke his arm playing baseball. Everyone was freaked the fuck out. I’m like, it’s a broken arm?? It’ll heal. It’s not like the dugout collapsed and he died.
I just hate how they want insurance info, doctors office info. 3 emergency contacts. When he broke his arm the coaches didn’t call me. A neighbor did…. So wtf was the reason for filling out all that shit???
Suing should only be for gross negligence. Basically you get hurt because something was physically done wrong a or a human did something.
Chicago had a nightclub incident where employees chain locked the emergency exit on a stair case to stop people from getting IN. People got trampled and died after people thought shots were fired and tried to get out. That’s something you sue for. Not your kid playing a sport that they WILL get an injury at some point. I’ve hurt myself playing ping pong. Broke my heel playing a frisbee game.
Fact is the info on these waivers is not on hand 90% of the time shit hits the fan. As a parent you get treatment for the kid asap if something happens. You get sued when you don’t call me when my nephew has a broken arm. I’m not the guy but that’s what would happen for some. Having had it happen there was no point in filling it out. No call and no medical treatment.
