I would have to consider hard and long on a vote between Donald Trump and RFK Jr as the Democrat challenger.
But if he were to run as an Independent spoiler, I would definately vote for Trump. The winner will have to be a part of one of the two parties.
If they stand a chance at cleaning up Washington they will need to clean up their party first. I think an Independent President would be powerless.
He would not have the base support of a party in power in Congress to force them to work with him.

This is something that every lifelong Independent No Party Affiliated voter has always understood. They do not vote by party affiliation, they vote on where political line needs to be pulled to bring everything back to the center. When Liberals get too far Left, they vote sensible Rightwing candidates, and when the Conservatives get too far Rightwing, they will vote for the Sensible Left leaning Democrat.

This is why RFK Jr. is probably the single most important candidate running in the 2024 election. I hope if gets screwed over by the DNC, he will still run as an Independent. If Trump gets railroaded as well. .Then and only then, would I like to see them team up on an independent ticket. Perhaps a shared role rather than the traditional President and Veep.. That would really stir things up.
