An Anti-BLM/Antifa song.

No reason given. I'd slap a $20 that blue-haired millie chicks in marketing made this decision.

Aldean comments on his CMT ban, a song that has been out since May

Our entertainment industries are all on life support and when things settle down, and sanity is restored..
Hollywood will be nothing, movies will be made in several towns throughout the US, Conservatives will be the biggest movie moguls..
And the music industry, will end up doing the same. .I would like to see Copyright laws strengthened to make streaming music on the internet not feasible. .
Then perhaps music medium will other than digital can rebound someday.

The current Country Music industry is barely on life support, that is why a song such as this is taking off. It's really poorly written, but lyrics although not very artistically stylized they are all things that needs to be said, and content that is missing in popular art. So much has gone unsaid or reported in pop culture and music over the last ten years or so.

The Washington Post likes nothing better than a juicy scandal involving racist white supremacists being all supremacisty, and if there aren't any, why, they'll just make one up!

And so, over the course of three days we have no fewer than six pieces in WaPo in which a thoroughly innocuous paean to small-town values is magically transformed into a racist pro-lynching white supremacist anthem.

To accomplish this feat of wizardry requires you go all-in, and did they ever.

I read the lyrics and I don't see what the big deal is.

The fiction of the premise is that asshole troublemakers come into a small town and try some shit.

Having lived in small towns it's not the case.

Assholes usually inhabit cities, where they "do gangsta shit", steal, riot, carjack, etc.

If you inhabit a city, recognize you are there for the money; is it worth it?

It ain't that. What is feared is the idea that if small towns would fight that nonsense, maybe those in the city should as well. Yes, the rioters are unlikely to come to small towns, but the Dems do not want to hear anyone talking about resistance.

But the nonsense is caused by assholes, and small towns hardly have any.
